Our little guy had trouble breastfeeding, was reliant on nipple shields, and struggled with long inefficient feeds. Dr Corbin and the rest of the team were so fantastic and released a tongue tie, lip tie, and bilateral cheek ties. Since we were not local, Stephanie the SLP was amazing and connected us with a therapist in our area. Dr Corbin stayed in contact with us for the weeks following the release and answered all our questions and concerns, even outside of business hours. The support was phenomenal and so personalized to us! We are now 5 weeks out and with the combo of the release, speech therapy and some body work, little man is doing fantastic! He has weaned off the nipple shields, eats in 30 min or less, and is gaining weight so well! We are so grateful to the team at untethered for making breastfeeding both possible and enjoyable!! Seeing untethered helped my son so much. Having his tongue tie released was night and day in how he ate, how comfortable he was, and in his reflux issues. He’s a completely different baby since his procedure. Everyone we saw was very kind and helpful. Stephanie, the speech pathologist who did my son’s therapy, was especially wonderful. I knew my baby had a lip tie for sure as nursing hurt and it should not hurt and he was a lazy eater. I did some research and found Untethered in Waukesha and made an appt with Dr Corbin. He did an exam along with Stephanie slp and found that he had a weak jaw and was too tired to eat. I also found out at his appt he was barely gaining weight and for a new baby they should be gaining. We did jaw exercises with Stephanie weekly until we had his Ties released in January. Took a break after the releases and went back for weekly exercises. Dr Corbin said his releases looked great and we're healing on track. Our last exercise appt we did a weighted feed and he took in close to 4oz in 9mins. The entire staff was knowledgeable and caring- the procedure and therapies were tailored to my son (16 months old) We have seen an improvement in his facial posture and its only getting better as time goes on. We are forever grateful that the office SPECIALIZES in lip and tongue ties and I wasn't rushed or pushed into a procedure at my Dr or Dentists office that I wasn't fully comfortable with or aware of everything that was impacted by my sons lip & tongue tie.
