I had the pleasure of meeting Karen Simms by chance at a United Healthcare event that was being held coincidentally at the same hotel where I was residing for vacation. At first, I didn't want to mix business with fun, but she and the few others who were there seemed pretty friendly and didn't come with any pressure sales tactics, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to at least listen. Karen was very informed about current and new plans coming out for the following year and provided detailed product manuals for me to look over and keep. After sharing my information, she recommended a new plan that included more benefits for my loved one than the one scheduled to renew for the following year. I didn't want to make a decision on the spot, but I was interested; so, she generously agreed to meet me in my hometown which was a good four hours away a few weeks later. After reading over the product manuals of the different plans in the comfort of my home, she was absolutely right, she did present the better plan to me. When we met, I didn't waste any time, I allowed her to transition my loved one over to the better-quality product. What a relief it was to have decisions surrounding healthcare plans resolved before the holidays season began. Fast forward- She called me at the end of that year, to follow up with me on plans for the next (2026). It was great to hear from her because usually from my experiences with past broker/salespersons you have to reach out to them when your coverage is about to expire. So, from that experience, I was please to know Karen was different. She is really into not just make a good first impression but actually maintaining a relationship. Mary Brown, Whiteville, NC
