Three years ago, I was running a struggling non-profit organization. I was discouraged and dissatisfied with my position. Various factors had caused the non-profit to fail and I found myself without much promise for the future. It was at that time, I became interested in the work of John Gray. I started reading the many book John had written and studied his work. My fascination with his work lead me only four months later to join the Mars Venus Coaching Team. Rich Bernstein, the CEO and head coach of Mars Venus Coaching North America, personally invested time and energy into training me as a part of the Mars Venus Coaching Team. I truly can say that I learned a tremendous amount from Rich about coaching, guiding others, and build strong personal and professional relationships. Although Rich and I sometimes disagreed on various points, I always knew that he was only challenging me and pushing me forward. Rich saw something in me that I myself had forgotten. He helped me develop my latent talents as a coach and gave me the tools, skills, and structure to get started. Under his direction and the training at Mars Venus Coaching, I was able to restructure the non-profit under new leadership, start my own coaching practice, and transform my personal and professional life. His mentorship, guidance, and friendship are something that I will truly appreciate for the rest of my life. Throughout my life, I have had many mentors, but few have been as important as Rich. He played such a pivotal role in helping me to reach my potential and helped to change the course of my life. Rich taught me valuable lessons about leadership, time management, team building, and business management. He not only taught me fundamentals, but he empowered me and taught me how to empower others. On a more personal note, Rich took on some of my close family members as business coaching clients. He helped guided my family through a difficult time in their business. He helped them create a succession plan, eliminate debts, cut expenses, and increase revenue and profits. But more importantly, he helped to developed stronger relationship between management and the employees and stronger relationships in the family. He brought us together and got us to work for what we really wanted. The positive results of this transition and growth will last a lifetime. Over the years, there have been few people that have helped my family as much as Rich. Rich is more than a CEO, a guide, a coach, and a mentor, he is a friend.
