My first time doing an upland hunt and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I knew it would be a good time but it exceeded what I was expecting. The land management is great, the staff is fantastic, our guide Johnny was on the ball all day and really helped make the experience we had a great one. I don’t know have experience with any other outfitters but I know this would be hard to beat.

By far the best hunting preserve and experience in Virginia. The fields are well maintained offering a great variety of terrain and cover. The owners, Dakota and Ruth, are incredibly welcoming and their hospitality is top notch. We will definitely be back.

Wars End is truly an outdoorsman's mecca. The exceptional hospitality provided by Dakota and Ruth Blanks was second to none.The guides (Dakota and Rodney) are true professionals and provided an amazing experience hunting over the well trained dogs that both pointed and retrieved with the skill of the best in business.A must do for any outdoorsman in Virginia and surrounding areas.

5-Stars all around here! - I typically cut my teeth in pursuit of deer and turkey with a bow and was looking for something to involve my golfer father. War's End knocked it out of the park for us!The day we were initially scheduled to hunt there was still lots of snow/ice on the ground with temp highs in the 20's, Dakota rescheduled us without issue. We had a beautiful warm spring day hunt. Our guide Ben was knowledgeable, made good conversation, and you could tell how much he loves the dogs and pursuit. Birds jumped and flew great giving us a variety of shots and situations. Our birds were cleaned for us post hunt super fast. Their facilities and set up is welcoming, cozy, and very apparent that these folks care. Even the drive out to Appomattox was lovely. I would definitely go again and will be recommending War's End to my coworkers.
