The most amazing movers EVER! From the beginning, when we received a visit from Diane I think it was, in sales. She very clearly explained the contract, gave us a reasonable estimate, and offered free moving boxes. She also organized a city parking permit which was necessary on our narrow street. Then, on the day of, Pierre, Dmytro and Jake arrived right at 9 am and hit the ground running. And I mean running! We had to plead with them to take a break. We were out of the old place and into the new place by 12:30. Everything arrived in pristine condition, no breakages. And the bill? Below estimate!

We hired Hendra Moving and Storage to move us a short distance from one side of Brentwood Bay to the other. They arrived on time and got to work right away. They were polite and professional and they treated our belongings with the utmost care and respect. Everything was wrapped in blankets and secured with movers’ tape. Dereck, Gary, Jake and Ed are a great bunch of guys and very good at their jobs. We are probably going to move again in the next year or two. We will definitely be calling Hendra again and requesting these four guys to do our next move.

I used Hendra Moving yesterday for a small move for my senior mother. Brothers Keir and Ellis were our movers and they were amazing! Personable, polite, hard working. They carefully wrapped all furniture, put down mats to walk on and they were lovely to talk to and work with. They made a stressful day much less so for my sister and I. Also a shout out to Shawn who within a half hour of the move ending called me to see how his crew did and if we had any concerns or problems. Hendra Moving and Storage moved three of my family’s household goods in the past few years: two returning to Canada, one from Switzerland, one from South America and my own move from Saanich to Sidney. The service we all experienced was excellent. The international moves were more complicated and went smoothly. We all used both the storage and moving services. But Hendra has a slogan, “More Than Movers” and here is an example. A month ago I was working on a project and found out, days before the event, that the volunteer support to move 70+ flats of sorted books from one location to another had collapsed. Not enough volunteers, no Saturday delivery van driver. So, what could I do? Who would I call? On Friday morning I called Hendra and by 2 pm that afternoon, one of the two owners and an employee arrived to stack and film wrap two skids of books donated to the Booksale. Saturday the 70+ flats of boxes were delivered to the Mary Winspear Centre and offloaded into Rm 2. Why the exceptional response to make such a big effort? Because the Company is local, family owned, and aware the proceeds of the Booksale goes toward $1,500 scholarship awards to eight graduates , two each from the four SD 63 senior high schools. As a fundraiser the Booksale was a success, as evidence that this is a company to rely on for professional help, there just aren’t enough words to say thank you Shawn, thank you Hendra Moving and Storage.Betsy Ives, Coordinator on behalf of CFUW Saanich Peninsula Booksale Committee.

After a fire in our building over 2 years ago, my belongings we moved to Hendra by the restoration company for storage. When I moved back in 3 months ago, I was missing many items. The Restoration company (Paul Davis Restorations), ghosted me, refused to respond to calls or texts, for over a month. I called Hendra on my own, explained my problem and told them I thought I was missing between 5-7 large boxes. The Operations manager told me he would do a detailed inventory search. He called back in a week and said they had found 6 small boxes and delivered them to me at no cost. I am still missing a lot but I got back my most treasured and irreplaceable items. I am so grateful to the kindness, extra work and effort they put in, plus the professionalism, decency and courtesy they showed me. This is a company I highly recommend! Thank you Hendra!

Hendra Moving & Storage exceeded our already high expectations. We knew in advance from other reviews that Hendra was a reputable company. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the care, efficiency and timeliness of the process.Despite a long trip up to our old residence and wintery driving conditions, they arrived early and proceeded to carefully pack everything including a treasured upright piano. They even packed a number of articles that were not on our original quote.The staff both on and off-site were easy to communicate with and made us feel comfortable every step of the way.Offloading and set up of our belongings in our new home was also completed efficiently, carefully and without any damage whatsoever.When we received our invoice we got another pleasant surprise - the cost was significantly less than the original quote, reflecting the efficiency of the whole operation.We would not hesitate to use Hendra again and will highly recommend them to anyone we know who is considering a move to Vancouver Island.

They handled everything with such care..and helped place thefurniture in the spots we wanted..they wouldn't let us do it .. my daughter and I offered to do it ourselves but they wouldnt hear of it.
