Working with MHC in the Art of Saxophone has been extremely beneficial. He meets players where they are at and helps them achieve their personal goals with lots of resources and methods for growth!The resources MHC connected me with helped me have a better understanding of how to solo over faster tunes and integrating more modern concepts of jazz into my solos.

I had a great time working with Michael. He’s a very good teacher and he works very hard to make sure that his students are successful. During my time with him I learned a lot about voice leading and harmony and improved on phrasing and utilizing the tools of improvisation!!!

Really enjoy Michael‘s in-depth instructional videos - they meet you wherever you‘re at on the road to saxophone improvisation. He’s created a nice community where you can post videos/audio of you playing to get advice and encouragement from him and the other members. Definitely try it out…the more, the merrier :)

Michael is the best saxophone coach you can find out there! He took me from barely knowing how to read music and not knowing anything about music theory, to now being very comfortable with playing in public, improvising and playing in a band, in just 3 months. Yes, it took a lot of practice and time invested, but Michael knew how and what I needed to work on. He has very comprehensive practice material and methodology for teaching beginners, intermediate and advanced players. Not only is he very knowledgable, he is very patient, kind and was always encouraging me. 10 out of 5 stars!!
