Former member here. Quit almost 2 years ago because the owner and primary coach is a complete a-hole. He refuses to speak to members like actual human beings. The environment is horrible because of Dwayne. Then you find out he is bad mouthing former members several months after they leave. Why open a gym to help people when you obviously don’t have the capability to work well with people. Don’t go here unless you enjoy spending your hard earned money to be treated like garbage.

I came into BR Active with some hesitation and uncertainty. I was a couple weeks out from my 45th birthday. I had just been diagnosed with diabetes and high cholesterol and some other health problems. I was also the heaviest I’ve ever been. Dwayne has been nothing short of exceptional. He has walked me through the process of getting back in shape. The workouts are challenging but also freeing. He takes the guess work out of it. He builds workouts that are scalable for any fitness level. I hit the 5 am class and the crew is welcoming with no egos.Br active is different in that there really isn’t a competition everyday. I only have to compete against myself.I highly recommend anyone looking for a place to get FIT, come give BR Active a chance.

Joining this gym has been a great experience. The coaches are knowledgeable and motivating without being overbearing, and they really care about helping you improve. The workouts are challenging but doable, and the supportive community makes a big difference. I’ve seen real progress in my strength and fitness, and I actually look forward to coming in. Highly recommend if you’re serious about getting better.

This truly is the best gym in Baton Rouge. I have been able to get in the best shape of my life at this gym. I have so much fun here and the coaches have been attentive to me, which has helped me reach my goals. Thank you so much!

Dropped in over the weekend and I am glad I did. Duane was incredibly responsive with booking the drop in and the facilities and calls were excellent. Great CF work out.
