I was an avid runner for years until an injury sidelined me about 12 years ago. I tried cortisone shots and two rounds of physical therapy, and while they managed my day-to-day pain, I still couldn't run more than a mile or two without hurting. I saw a Fit & Function ad on Facebook and decided to give it one more shot.I worked with Maria Leibler for about six months. Within a couple of months I was running a 5K pain-free. I picked up a little runner's knee along the way, but worked through it with her help. More importantly, Maria taught me how to tell the difference between pain I can push through and pain that means I need to adjust, something no one had ever explained to me before.I hadn't been able to run for over a decade and honestly never thought I would again. I'm so glad I found this team. I'd 100% recommend giving them a try!

I had a great experience at Fit and Function this morning. Right off the bat, you can tell they are not just interested in putting a Band-Aid on your problem and temporarily eliminating symptoms. They are more concerned about the root cause of your issue. Maria was my PT, and I was given a clear plan and left feeling hopeful. I'm already recommending Fit and Function to my friends! 10/10

I had a great experience working with Ben! We were able to make some solid progress on a few issues I was having and he was very helpful pinpointing exercises to help! We had great conversations about race training building as well. I definitely would recommend Fit and Function to any other runners/cyclists.

I had a wonderful experience working with Ben at Fit & Function! I have worked with multiple different PTs because I move frequently for my job and unfortunately have been injured a few times and Ben is truly incredible at what he does. I went in for a running injury that had kept me not running for 2 months with minimal improvement with pain and now I’m training for a marathon and running 40 mile weeks again pain free. I truly felt that Ben cared about whether or not I got better and he would always listen to my every thought on what I was feeling. I’m sad I’m no longer living in Boise so I can’t see him for any future issues I have(though hopefully I never need a PT again). I would highly recommend seeing him for any running injury!

Worked with Ben for a few months for IT Band issues and run training. Ben was super knowledgeable, personable, and worked with me to identify and work on my specific issues. I was able to complete the marathon I was training for, and I believe a large part of that was due to the exercises and recommendations from Ben.

After years of knee pain that nearly stopped me from running, Fit & Function helped me get back to pain-free running - and back to performance, not just daily function. I found them through a Facebook ad, scheduled a consult, and I’m really glad I did.As a lifelong endurance athlete (mid-pack, mostly cycling but I like to stay run-capable), I appreciated how performance-focused their approach was. My PT, Ben, and the rest of the team are athletes themselves and clearly understand training, injury, and recovery from real experience. He took a deep dive into my training history, movement, and load tolerance, then built a plan to fix root causes. Every visit was a full hour, 1:1, with exercises adjusted based on how I responded.I followed the program between sessions and was running again in about a month. A few weeks later I was running more than a minute per mile faster than I had in years, pain free. Three months later, the results are still holding, and I’m stronger on the bike too. Very different from previous PT experiences that felt standardized and symptom-focused. This was individualized, hands-on, and built around getting me back to real activity and performance.If you’re active and willing to do the work between sessions, I highly recommend them. Easily the most effective PT experience I’ve had.

I had a fantastic experience with Fit and Function Therapy Solutions! Having been a runner for 30 years, I went in with the hope of getting some help ensuring that I was doing the things I needed to do to continue running another 30. I feel confident that Maria gave me those tools and that I have a resource if I develop an injury in the future. It was so nice to have a provider listen to the whole scope of what I do and how I exercise before giving me a plan. I highly recommend!
