Update, this is unquestionably the best takeout chicken in town now that Hattie's in the mall has closed. It'c currently $23 for a full bird, just $3 more than 3 years ago. My own issue is the sixe of the sides. They're excellent and obviously made in house. Used to be 24 oz with the full chicken, then 16, now down to 8 oz. How much does it cost to make cole slaw or potato salad? I'd happily pay a bit more to get a comfortable size side.West Ave Chicken is the best around, if you catch them on a good day. The fried chicken dinner (currently $19 for a full bird, $14 for a half bird, both including two generous sides) is perfectly seasoned and fried and the cole slaw and potato salad are just right. But because this is a homestyle restaurant there will be different people in the kitchen and tastes and quality may vary. Because this is Saratoga, it's worth betting that you get a winner! Also, the chicken takes a LONG time since it's fried to order and they sometimes get backed up so call ahead with your order.

Today was my first time at this location. I wanted to try the chicken tenders and fries for lunch. I definitely was not disappointed. They were the best chicken tenders and fries that I’ve had in quite some time. I definitely would be going back there again.
