We booked him for our wedding, and he made sure that we and all our guests were taken of, went above and beyond, and provided a lot of personalized touches. He made sure the dance floor was very lively and that all of our guests had an amazing time. His communication before the event was amazing and he was extremely thorough in going over details and even thought of unique and fun touches/things to add to our song choices. He can definitely read the crowd and match any style, and got everyone on the dance floor, from our youngest cousin to our oldest grandparent. You should absolutely book him for your event. Less

I have nothing but good words for DJ Shawdy Entertainment. Rashad not only did an amazing job at our wedding a few weeks ago, but also provided such great customer service and help throughout the planning process. We were not people who knew what songs we wanted for every moment throughout the wedding (and trust me, there are more than you think) and he sent us around 20 recommendations for every moment in different styles and genres to help guide us. He answered every text and call promptly and was there for us whenever we needed help and even drove over an hour for a site visit to make us feel more comfortable about the placement of everything in the venue. He even helped guide us with making the perfect timeline. He showed up early to the venue on the wedding day and quickly and quietly got set up while we were taking photos nearby. His set up is very clean and did not distract from the ceremony at all. He had great speaker placement which was not even near his set up area in order to make sure the dance floor had the best sound during the reception. He was a great MC throughout the whole night and hyped everyone up. I especially appreciated how he handled the speeches. He introduced each speaker with their name and who they were to us and made sure to get the mic after they were done to do the same for the next person. I also appreciated how he took note of our parents and grandparents wedding songs and let everyone know that before he played them to ensure those guests made it to the dance floor. He listened to our style and every song was better than the one played before it. We had an amazing time dancing all night! He has such a good vibe, even on the phone, and it was clear that he would be able to read the crowd and wanted to match our style and wishes. We couldn't have made a better choice. He was responsive and awesome throughout planning, had a follow-up call with us a month before the wedding to talk through specifics, and then when the day came, he was everything we wanted — played into a joke from our ceremony throughout the evening, kept the energy high, and even got out on the dance floor with us.
