Had a wonderful experience with Cakes by Vivi for a wedding cake! Vivi made the whole process very easy from scheduling a tasting to arranging delivery of the cake on wedding day. She walked us through all the cake options during the tasting, making for a very efficient decision making process, which is hard to come by when planning a wedding. The cake was delivered as communicated and looked exactly as I'd described with florals added from our florist. Most importantly, it tasted so good! We did an almond cake with raspberry filling and could not wait to pull some leftovers out of our freezer when we got back from the honeymoon. We actually ordered a small cake with the initial intention of just cutting it as a couple, but then cut it and served it as well to all guests. We met with her about 6 months before the wedding to taste test and design our cake, as it was an absolute must for my husband to have a big statement cake that also tasted delicious. We ordered a 4-tier cake, swapping every other layer with red velvet and almond. My goodness- IT WAS PHENOMENAL! We also did a mix of the American and Swiss buttercream. Even with around 200 guests, we had a full tier to take home and save in our freezer for later- as is customary. Additionally, Vivi was wonderful to work with! She was sincere and professional, and willing to create our vision. She even decorated the cake with flowers I provided when she delivered the cake, at no extra charge. I rolled the dice on choosing a wedding cake. I had no time to go and do a bunch of tastings to find a cake I liked. I did a quick Google search and called Vivi after looking at the flavors on her site. I ordered an almond cake with lemon curd filling and sent photos from Google so she knew the look i wanted. It was that simple. She was able to take half down payment upfront and the other half a little bit before the event. When I saw the cake after my dad picked it up, it was beautiful. I had guests commenting on how pretty it was too. After we cut the cake and served it, the compliments start rolling in. It was DELICIOUS and still so incredibly moist after waiting a few hours to eat it (which is all you could ask for in a cake.) I will recommend her to everyone I know and will definitely be using her in the future. I got lucky that she is who I called out of all the places I could’ve called.
