Marvin Google reviewWe met “My Favorite Garden” and Marvin through Angi’s list. He turned out to be Local! He helped us clear out an old garden bed and graded it so we could plant grass. He went beyond the call and weeded our lower patio and mulched our patio garden. His crew was so friendly. The work was immaculate. I asked Marvin back to help with the weeding and mulching of our giant yard. We are seniors and it has become too much. We set a date and he and his crew came midday. I was worried that that wasn’t enough time, but it was, because they worked so hard and efficiently. We showed them some preferred plants in the gardens to make sure they did not pull them out. They were careful and remembered everything we said. They pulled and dug out all the weeds around our giant wooded backyard border, revealing our flowering shrubs again. They edged the property. They brought the correct mulch that werequested and mulched everything beautifully. They weeded the upper patio as precisely as they had done the lower one. I did not even think that was possible. They erred on the side of caution and brought my wife out to confirm their efforts. They are artists. Before they left, we surveyed the yard and found a few weeds that were missed (not hard with our property on the woods). Santiago came down immediately and disposed of them. They leveled the mulch and blew off any debris – – not that there was much because they cleaned up as they worked. They were precise and careful about the placement of the mulch. They recommended that we edge and mulch around our front yard shrubs. Marvin had a vision. It made a world of difference. Now that we are retired, we spend a lot of time outside and admiring our yard is important to us. It is lush and organic, full of flowers, shrubs and perennials. Before they left, they had me approve the work. There are other areas that need their touch, and now that we’ve seen their efficient talent, I want them to come back and make those areas look as beautiful as what they created in the rest of the yard.

We found Marvin and his company. MyFavoriteYard LLC on Angi’s list so we already knew he was vetted. He got in touch with me right away and came to give us an estimate that evening. (Excellent communication via text - my preference). Marvin, Carlos and Santiago came a week later with supplies and soil. They cleaned out many wheel barrows of debris, saved the Fern I wanted, and added 2+ yards of good black leveled soil. He also spread the cedar mulch that I already had for a different corner garden and straightened up all of the patio walkway flagstones (they’ve never looked so neat). He even pulled all the weeds out of the flagstone patio - Above and beyond the call. Marvin and his Crew were comfortable to work with. It was a full day’s work. We will definitely have them back next spring if not sooner. I highly recommend them.

Researched many landscapers in area and I am thrilled and happy that I picked My Favorite Yard. I called and Marvin answered the phone right away. I kidded Marvin that I did not know too many folks from Guatamala named Marvin...but we met and he is very polite and full of landscaping knowledge...and then his actual work.... OUTSTANDING! Marvin and his team are the best! Marvin is attentive, kind, and detail oriented. They transformed our patio and we continue to work with him for our garden maintenance. Couldn’t recommend Marvin and his team more!
