I was looking for a new dentist after my longtime dentist retired and wanted a practice close to home with excellent ratings and a wide range of services. Baldwin Distinctive Dental was a great choice. The entire experience was positive from start to finish. Laurie, the hygienist, was very gentle--no jabs or discomfort at all. Dr. Casteel took the time to explain my X-rays thoroughly and clearly discussed my future treatment plan, which I really appreciated. Nothing felt rushed or pushy. The office is modern and welcoming, with a beautiful view overlooking the Durango Golf Course. The overhead TVs during the exam are a nice touch and make the visit more comfortable. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive. I would absolutely recommend Baldwin Distinctive Dental to anyone looking for a high-quality dental practice.

I visited Dr. Baldwin's office for the first time on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, for a cleaning appointment with Laurie and for an examination by Dr. Casteel. Dr. Casteel and Laurie are excellent and magnificent. They both have an excellent bedside manner. I am extremely happy. I returned to the office on Thursday, October 16, 2025, to have Dr. Casteel replace fillings in two of my teeth as the previous fillings fell out a few months ago. My office experience was excellent. I was extremely comfortable and relaxed during both of my visits. I highly recommend this dental office. If I could give the people at this office ten stars, I would do so. I am looking forward to my next visit to this office.

The staff seemed disorganized, and communication was seriously lacking. I was told at the end of my initial check up that I was scheduled on 07/24 for a CLEANING & FILLINGS. Fast forward to my appointment on 07/24. There is no hygienist in office, and my cleaning appointment is actually in December. Add on my insurance deductible was way higher for my fillings than I'm used to, I was still going to pay the deductible regardless. I mentioned to the receptionist that I had been informed my appointment on 07/24 was for a CLEANING & FILLINGS. The receptionist was not able to help my situation so I began to exit the building. I figured on the way out of the office before leaving the parking lot I should speak with Dr. Baldwin directly. I did so in hopes that Dr.Baldwin might be able to mediate the situation. I was wrong Dr. Baldwin, in particular, caused a major inconvenience for me due to a lack of attention and follow-through. It felt like my concerns were brushed off, which was really disappointing. Also He will tell you himself " I DONT LIKE MY TIME BEING WASTED " . Guess what Dr.Baldwin ?! Neither do I. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place. There are plenty of other offices out there that actually care and know how to treat their patients right.

I've never given 5 stars to a dentistry because I never have a good experience at the dentist. But this place is amazing! I made the mistake of double booking appointments too close to one another. So, I came in early to see if I could get an earlier appointment, and they took me right then and there. Everyone in this office was so nice, super welcoming, and very accommodating. They didn't stick me in a room and leave me for 20-40 minutes. They started with me as soon as I sat in the chair. I got my x rays and spoke to the doctor almost immediately. Not once in my life has this ever happened to me. When i was booking my next appointment, the sweet lady at the front desk was very helpful and caring. She worked with my crazy schedule and got me the quickest appointment she could. The care I received was above and beyond what I expected. Also the view from the office is gorgeous. It overlooks the gold course and has the mountains in the back. The office was extremely clean ( they even cleaned the heavy x ray protector thing ), and the decor was very relaxed and inviting. Love this office

Thanks for charging me $50 for not giving 24 hours notice because I woke up sick and really was sick and didn't want to make anyone else sick. Don't know who answered the phone, but the "empathy" was certainly lacking. The old crew are missed and the new crew are somewhat lacking.

I recently started going to this dentist which I've been loving my experience so far. Kevin is super friendly. He pays attention to detail. Also the staff is excellent, the entire team always ensure the patient is comfortable. The office is very clean and well kept. I'm actually looking forward to my next cleaning.

Had 2 fillings done here in November and both have fallen out, even though I have 2 fillings done elsewhere that have held up for 10+ years. One of the holes they drilled in my mouth was so small, that another dentist told me that they should have never drilled it in the first place. Who knows if I even actually had a cavity there? Do not come here if you value your mouth and your money, because they don't care about either. They only care about taking your money.

It's always been a wonderful and pleasant experience when I have an appointment at Baldwin Distinctive Dentistry. The staff is very friendly and nice. Treatment planning is thoroughly explained before any major work needed to be done. I truly enjoyed getting my teeth clean by the hygienist. I am at a lost as to why it took a year for this dentist to contact me about my review on Yelp but he did. He told me "he wanted to make it right" that he doesn't do business this way. In addition, I have no idea what he meant when Stated in his message , "I always put myself in someone elses shoes" because his lack of action (for a year) or that of any member of his team does not show this. Then if he did view things from my prospective ( in my shoes) his resolution would not be so insulting. That he sent me a check for $16 when my dispute was for $184. I can tell you my shoes are a lot bigger than that and I would not have wasted his time or my time for $16 if they took the time ( a year ago) to review this with me. But no, he decided to say nothing for a year. I have no idea why after a year he would decided to deal with my issue. In fact I had not visited my comment about my experience until he contacted me. That is when I saw that 2 people in the last month found my comment helpful. Now the comment about "shoes" is not only trait but dishonest.

I went to Baldwin Dentistry after believing the 5 star reviews. I chipped my tooth and got it fixed there. Dr. Baldwin put a cap on it but it fell off within a couple of weeks. In my follow up visit he fixed the chipped tooth by filing it down. Why couldn't he have done that the first time? The answer to everything is obvious $$$. When I went to see him for a crown he never offered a credit for the cap coming off. He also claimed I had $500 worth of cavities. Then my wife went there. The hygienist was over 20 minutes late for her cleaning. No explanation given but she got straight to business asking my wife questions like what she does for a living. This was also the first question that came out of Dr. Baldwin's mouth when he met her. She was told by the hygienist she had periodontal disease and needed 2 appointments for a deep cleaning. The cleaning was horrendous. Her mouth was butchered and the hygienist carried on about how horrible her teeth were. My wife said it felt like a bad infomercial to sell a deep cleaning. Dr. Baldwin said my wife needed nearly $4,000 worth of dental work. He made this determination knowing my wife did not have dental insurance. This set off a huge flag as my wife has only had 4 cavities her whole life, all of which were small and just replaced a few years ago. The hygienist claimed my wife needed to come in for cleanings every 3 months. Dr. Baldwin was directly asked by my wife how many cavities she had. He said 5 but when she was given the estimate sheet there were 10. This was another flag that something wasn't right. My wife went for a second opinion of someone we were told is reputable and was diagnosed with only 1 very tiny cavity. She was told she did not need a deep cleaning. They said she does not have periodontal disease, not even close. The other dentist proved this by measuring her gums. He also noted how shoddy of a job Baldwin's hygienist did because he could easily pick the plaque off her teeth despite getting a cleaning a week prior. Most of the $80 cleaning was spent upselling. Unlike the other dentist who provided 3D images and x-rays Dr. Baldwin refers to pictures. Dr. Baldwin showed pictures of dark spots on my wife's molars which was confirmed by the other dentist to be the discoloration of silver fillings that had been replaced. The other dentist did the prick test for the one small cavity to show how gummy it was. I went to get a second opinion as I began to question my own diagnosis from Dr. Baldwin. Low and behold I did not have ANY cavities! It makes me wonder if my crown was necessary. I was told my teeth are perfect. I should add the way Dr. Baldwin's office bills insurance is questionable. They submit multiple requests from the same visit in the attempt to recover as much money as possible. The business they are running is shady. I doubt many people question their own situation and I felt that people should know our experience before he rips off more people.

I was looking for a new dentist so I figured I would give this office a shot. Well, I was wrong to pick this place! I came for a normal cleaning, dentist came in the room to take a look, and told me that I had 3 cavities that needed to be filled. I scheduled an appointment the get them filled and a week before my scheduled date to get the fillings the receptionist called to confirm at which time they told me that they were going to do the 4 fillings. I asked her if she meant 3 and she said no - 4. That conversation made me a little weary and I decided to get a second opinion. On my second opinion from another dentist, I received X-rays and the normal cleaning, the dentist went over my X-rays with me and told me everything looked great! I asked him if he saw any cavities or anything wrong and he said everything looked good and that I needed no additional services done other than my regular cleaning in six months. So, if you are a patient at Baldwin Dentistry I would be very careful trusting what they tell you. If I went with what their dentist supposedly saw I would have 4 fillings in my teeth that were completely unnecessary.

Dr. Baldwin is amazing. He accomplished for me in 2 1/2 weeks what I have begged dentists for for 40 years. His office and staff are amazingly friendly and courteous. As my story goes I've had a tetracycline line on my teeth forever. Never able to get them white they've been chipped and broken for many years. But no one would pull them and give me beautiful dentures or give me an affordable plan to have beautiful teeth. I started in September to get the work done by February when I turn 60 with another dentist. After six visits they accomplish nothing. I cried through my 60th birthday because I still had Such an ugly smile. My 30th wedding anniversary was two months later. I searched out and found Dr. Baldwin. I was seen in his office the same week on a Wednesday. After talking with them, Dr. Baldwin wanted me to come in Friday morning at 6:30 AM before office hours to prep my six front teeth for caps he put in a temporary that day that looked 100 times better than my old teeth. Two weeks later I had a permanent beautiful smile. He is amazing, first dentist I've ever been to that actually heard me and heard what I wanted and was actually able to give it to me in an amazingly quick time frame. Thank you so much Dr. Baldwin and your staff. I will recommend you to everyone I know I can't say enough how amazingly different my life is with my new gorgeous smile. You're on the top of my Christmas cookie list.

I just came back from an appointment at Baldwin, Distinctive Dentistry and I couldn't be happier. The staff there greet you and smiles when you walk in the door. That makes a big difference when you're going to someplace like the dentist that a lot of people have unhappy thoughts about Dental visits. In no way do I feel that I've been taken advantage of like some other dentists that I've been to. Dr. Baldwin, has a staff that is untouchable and I commend him for the way he picked staff. I went in there today and Dr. Baldwin, looked at my teeth and said that I need a little something done, if I want to get it done? He will never tell you need to get work done just to fatten the bill. He is as Honest and good man as I am telling you. Do yourself a favor and check him out as he has enhanced his services to Laser practices to help you link better. After a year and a half of living in horrible pain, I decided it was time to make this review. Am I upset? Yes. I paid over $5,000 for a bridge to be installed in my mouth, that has been a constant pain in my mouth, and my wallet. The first thing I felt that was odd, was that this practice requires you join the club in order to receive discounted pricing on the services. Once you join the club, you receive 2 cleanings for the year, and a small discount on all other procedures. The trouble started right from the start. The temporary bridge would not stay in place. It kept falling out causing me terrible pain. My father passed away, and I had to make an emergency trip out of state. The temporary again fell out on the plane, and it was incredibly painful. Upon my return, I again returned to the office, where he glued it again into place. During all this, I also had to have more teeth filled, which meant another $1,500+. His work on those teeth seem to be just fine. The permanent bridge was installed finally, and that's when the real problems began. I returned to the office several times to have adjustments made. Nothing helped. The pain continued. On the my last visit, they tried to charge me for a bite adjustment. That was it for me. Even though they still owed me another cleaning, I would not go back. Dr Baldwin would not listen to my complaints about the bridge feeling wrong, and blamed it on my other teeth above it. He saw my teeth on the very first visit. If it was beyond his scope, he should have said so. I found him to be very dismissive and not concerned at all about my pain. The pain had gotten so bad, I was crying every day. I finally ended up at a really caring, and talented dentist who sent me to get a couple of root canals on the anchoring teeth. Another $3,600 gone. The root canals helped, but the bridge still doesn't feel right and it hurts all day, every day. Now, I have to pay out even more money, and have this bridge ripped out, and start all over. Just take that $5,000 and burn it, because it's the same result. This practice is fine for run of the mill tooth care, but if you need something more complicated, go to someone more experienced.

Where do I start? I highly recommend Baldwin Dentistry. From beginning to end, was amazing. They offered me a blanket, and a massaging chair and head phones. It was great! I felt so comfortable. They also explain every detail or any question or concerns you may have. I had the best experience. Thank you, to the staff as well they were amazing!

Please read my previous review! I tried to make a long story short, I missed another amazing and blessing information to share. When I had my old bridge was removed, Dr. Baldwin's office was closed that week due to Corona virus . But Dr. Baldwin and his staff came in just to remove my old bridge that has been causing terrible throbbing pain and palpitation/anxiety from it. I was soooo speechless and grateful for Dr. Baldwin's amazing compassion to take care of his patient. I have been so blessed with Dr. Baldwin who rescued me from the miserable condition. I texted him yesterday due to the similar throbbing pain and palpitation after the temporary bridge was placed a week ago. Of course, he texted me back in a few minutes later as usual. He explained me the reason why I experienced the throbbing pain and advised to take Motrin and Ativan. His quick response and reassurance helped me very much. I took medications that Dr. Baldwin advised in the evening and I slept pretty good last night without throbbing pain. Thank you very very much for everything that you have done for me, Dr. Baldwin!!!!! You are a God sent Angel!!!!! You are the BEST and MOST Amazing Dentist and person!!!!! God Bless YOU and YOUR Family!!!!!!

Dr. Baldwin and staff are amazing! I was having significant dental pain and unable to touch one of my teeth. Granted I've had problems with this same tooth for a number of years on and off. The pain had been ongoing for about two days and was unremitting, and I finally decided it was time to see a dentist. I started searching online for a dentist in NW Las Vegas and began calling around to see if some one could fit me in for a same day visit due to the pain. It was about 1 pm in the afternoon, and I was beginning to think I would just have to suffer through the pain for the next week until I was available to see a dentist. Fortunately, the third office that I called ended up being Dr. Baldwin's. Sherry (front desk) answered the phone and in a very calm and professional manner asked what my symptoms were and stated that they would be happy to see me as an emergency visit AND could see me within 30 minutes of my phone call! I was greeted by the front desk staff who were very polite, completed some paperwork, and soon was brought back for evaluation by Caren. Caren was very personable and even shared stories of some one she knew who also works at the same location as I do. Dr. Baldwin came shortly after who was very kind and empathetic, quickly diagnosed a tooth abscess, and recommended that I see a specialist. Total time from stepping foot into the office till check out was less than 30 minutes with a last minute appointment! It wasn't just the efficiency, but I was also impressed by the personable staff from start to finish. Two days later with some antibiotics, no more pain and back to enjoying food again! Fast forward to today (a little over a week after my initial visit), I already had my root canal procedure done (which was an excellent experience and will leave a separate review for the endodontist) and have scheduled my follow-up with Dr. Baldwin. Thank you to Dr. Baldwin and staff!

Moved here a few months ago and went to one dentist and was very disappointed. Went on Yelp and chose Dr. Baldwin's office after reading the reviews. I was not disappointed. Very professional from the staff to the doctor. The hygienist was excellent. She and the doctor gave me a treatment plan and explained everything to me. I would refer them highly.

I had fillings done and It went great ! My son also had some work done and had a great experience as well ! Dr Baldwin and his staff are super nice and helpful ! Also Linda and Karen were just lovely oh and not to mention it is very clean. I am somewhat of a clean freak so I was very happy with the cleanliness oh ! And also the office looks over the golf course next door (all windows ) so nice view to look at (especially when getting your teeth worked on ) .. i mean they also have a tv on for you and ask what channel you would like to watch so that helps too ! Anyways yes ! I definitely would recommend anyone to come here ! :-)
