Lyndsey helped me purchase and collect my little hamster. she was fabulous. recommended everything that was safe, and gave me tips to benefit my hamster. will never go anywhere else. smiths actually cares about the animals welfare and not just the money, unlike most pet shops.

The lady who works here just stayed open past closing for me because I'd rushed over to get a harness to replace the one my dog had chewed up and broke! She then knocked money off for a small fault in the one I bought and gave the dogs a treat each!!Always the best local pet shop!

I visit Smiths Pets on Portrack Lane quite often, and I honestly can't recommend them enough. The staff are always highly professional, friendly, and give everyone a warm welcome as soon as you walk in. They’re knowledgeable, happy to offer advice, and nothing ever seems too much trouble. We spoke to a lady on 21st September regarding African snails! Very good as answering questions nothing was a silly question! To the point today (22nd) we travelled to the pet shop from Ripon and Met Sam who showed us the snails and also showed us what we would need for a full set up. He was very helpful and was very informative! We bought 2 Jade African snails and the full set up ! Great prices for the lot! All came up to under £100! I was going to attached images to this but it won’t let me! If you want to keep up to date with the snails you can via TikTok! Search sambo171992 :) there is a video on there of us setting up the new home :)

I love this pet shop, they have everything you need for your pet.I have recently bought a bird (Cockateil), lynsey who works in the bird department is really lovely, well equipped on information.She is really lovely to talk to and very friendly.All the staff at smiths pet shop are so helpful in anything that you need and would highly recommend to anyone.

I bought the Leopard Gecko pack from here and it's been one of the best things I've bought for my Leopard Gecko. She enjoys her new tank and new tank decor that I bought from here and she atcually comes out at night now to explore instead of staying under the same hide for days at a time.I'm definitely coming back here if I ever need any new things for my gecko because it's so great to see her so happy. This place has my permanent business and will always be my first pick for anything gecko related. Thank you so much for atcually selling me good stuff for my gecko instead of just caring about making money like other places do. And this is coming from somebody who got sold a 20 gallon tank and wax worms by Pet's at home and got told "this is exactly what a Leopard gecko needs".I know my gecko appreciates it just as much as I do.
