Honestly, I don't feel like 5 stars is high enough, and here's why:About eight months ago, I started looking into getting an old boat removed from our property. I first tried a couple of those "donate your boat and we'll pick it up for free" companies. After nearly five months of back-and-forth with them and getting nowhere, I finally started reaching out to junk and property removal companies for quotes.Mr. Junk was one of the first companies I contacted. I filled out their form, sent them a few pictures of the boat, and within a few hours, I had a quote. The entire process was fast, fluid, and smooth.Since they were one of the first companies I contacted, I decided to sit on their quote for a while and compare it with some other companies. I should have just gone with Mr. Junk right then.I reached out to several more cleanup and donation companies. Some took weeks just to provide a quote, and when I finally received them, the prices were outrageously high. Eventually, I decided to put removing the boat on the back burner for the summer.Fast-forward to this past week. I reached back out to Mr. Junk to see if they could still take the boat and whether their original quote was still good. I received a response within an hour.I was informed that the person I had originally been working with was no longer the crew lead, but he had passed all of my information along to the current person. They also got back to me extremely quickly. Even though quite a bit of time had passed, they honored their original quote and were able to schedule the pickup for that same week.When they arrived to get the boat, they were prepared. One of the tires wasn't holding air, and they already had the tools on hand to change it out and get the job done. They were also extremely pleasant to work with when it came to the paperwork and were knowledgeable about everything that needed to be completed on the billing side.All in all, I could not be happier with Mr. Junk and their crew. From the first quote eight months ago to the final pickup, they were responsive, professional, prepared, friendly, and easy to work with.10/5 stars for sure. I live in an old house in Columbia and am getting my basement waterproofed. I had to get rid of most of the junk that accumulated over many years. Included were a refrigerator, dehumidifier, VCR, other electronics, large station wagon top carrier, old wood workbench, cabinet and supports, metal China cabinet, 3 shelves, lots of wood &metal scraps, chairs, half of a ping pong table and much more. Kyle, Mr. Junk Columbia, came right away, looked over the array, and gave me a fair cost estimate. Then today, Kyle and Dustin showed up at the appointed time, even in the rain, and cleaned out everything in a professional and pleasant manner. They double checked to be sure they took everything that I wanted removed.The invoice was the same as the estimate. I’m very satisfied and recommend Mr. Junk to anyone who needs such service.

I was visiting my dad in Columbia and needed urgent help with a dangerous mess left in his basement after some foundation repair work. There were very large boards, construction debris, and nails blocking access to the laundry room, creating a safety issue for his healthcare workers. Because of the configuration of the basement and the size of the boards, there was no way for me to remove everything on my own.As I was only in town for a few days I knew I needed to get help quickly! I texted Ryan at Mr Junk on Tuesday night, and he came on Wednesday to give me a bid. I accepted it and he immediately got to work cutting down the boards, hauling off all the trash, and cleaning up the entire space. He was prompt, efficient, reasonably priced and very polite throughout the process. Then he and his awesome team showed up on the hottest day of the year to clear out my storage unit. All those projects we were “going to get to” and never did, finally gone! Needed to have our storage room in the basement and closet under our stairs cleared out because we need to make an apartment in our basement for my 87 year old dad because my mom passed away. They had been together 70 years. My wife contacted Mr. Junk and within just a few days he was here giving us a bid. He gave us a reasonable bid and scheduled to come the very next day. He and his partner were so incredibly nice and finished the job in less than two hours. They made sure to remove their shoes while in the basement and took extra care with all our items. We can’t express how grateful we are for Dax, Kyle and the team from MrJunk! My sister in law passed away at the end of March and lived in Columbia,MO - we however live in North Carolina. When I contacted Dax he was professional willing to work with us and wait until I was able to travel back to the house to come take a look and give us an estimate on cost. We had things like trash, mattresses, bed frames, chairs, odds and ends, cabinets, broken glass, expired food, broken vacuums- we essentially threw out everything but the appliances and things we couldn’t donate. Once he fave us the estimate we were able to get a dumpster within a few days and even the following day after the original dumpster was picked up - we had filled it completely full, we still had things that needed to go, Kyle stepped in with his team and conquered the rest of it and was done within a few minutes. We were blown away with it all and would recommend them to anyone.
