I can’t imagine working with anyone else to find my home. Ten years ago, Andrew worked with my incredibly finical and curmudgeonly father to find a home on James Island. I remember we walked into a house, spent barely a minute inside and all my dad said was “no” then walked out. Andrew just laughed and moved right on to the next spot. Andrew didn’t break a sweat navigating my dads personality nor attitude, he actually loved it. His attitude and personality is what makes him such a great realtor.Naturally, I would only trust Andrew with my own home buying process. I’m a teacher, buying solo, and the market is not exactly favorable for my particular tax bracket (nor my expectations). My budget wasn’t realistic for the areas I was looking for, but Andrew sent me every single listing in the area daily in hopes that one would hit. I was actually shocked at how much time he was putting into finding a house for me, like do you sleep?? Throughout the five month process we would have viewings multiple times a week and only during the small window of availability I had after school. We looked at absolute dumpster fires, and when I started to feel hopeless (because how is a wood rotten, rat poop infested 3 BR 1 Bath selling for 585 on James Island!?!) Andrew just sent me more listings.Clearly, his tenacity is one of the reasonsI would recommend Andrew to anyone looking to buy a home. Ultimately, his ethics as an agent is what sets him apart, and for me was essential. He advocated for essential repairs on offers, endlessly communicated with agents and sellers who were trying to oversell their properties, and would pull the plug when the sellers were being shady and insincere. For the home I ultimately purchased home, he offered to receive a lower commission rate to the seller to improve my chances of the offer being accepted (didnt love that, he deserved the full rate). During the negotation process, the seller’s agent refused to do the same to expedite the deal due to the seller’s demands. This really exemplifies Andrew’s character. He builds genuine relationships with his clients and doesn’t give up on finding them their homes.TLDR; Scherl’s the GOAT.
