Update: it was time for the dreaded major service and once again The Neighbor’s Kid Auto Repair did what was needed, and did it within the estimated price and time. I like the folks who work there and can tell they work as a team, which I appreciate. They were solving a problem when I got there and it was clear that until it was solved, no one was going anywhere. The shop has a great vibe. Highly recommend!As a new resident in the area I was worried about finding a mechanic for my beloved RAV4. When I read the reviews about The Neighbor’s Kid, I felt I had to give them a try. They exceeded my expectations, were kind and courteous, explained what they would do and gave me a good estimate and three hours later I was back in my car. I will definitely be returning and recommending them to others.

What a gem of a place ! My wife had a sudden issue with her Honda as her wheel went off the road and started making a funny noise. She stopped at the first repair shop she saw and came across this place by chance -- Erik was amazing ! He is kind and professional and helped her out immediately. We decided to make this our primary repair place from now on.

Family run business who took great care of my teen on a recent road trip. They were beyond accommodating and even dropped off my kiddo in town and got him an uber back when his rig was ready! Excellent service! Sure glad I went here. They quickly evaluated my son’s car, found the problem and got it fixed promptly! Saved me lots, as the previous shop just assumed it was a much larger problem. Also shared what else they could see that may need attention in the future, explained it all to us. I have used The Neighbor’s Kid Auto Repair for multiple maintenance and repairs over the last year on my 2019 Honda Pilot. Most recently they replaced the water pump and timing belt at a cost far more reasonable than the dealership. I am pleased with the work, communication, and price and will continue to use this company for all of my car needs (hopefully few and far between!) as well as general maintenance and upkeep. I am a happy, repeat customer.

I recently had an amazing experience at The Neighbor's Kid Auto Repair! My Subaru needed transmission work, and they made sure to follow Subaru’s recs. They also took their time walking me through what was going on.As a woman, it really matters to me that mechanics speak to me with respect and don’t talk down to me — and they totally nailed it. I have been taking my car to The Neighbor's Kid Auto Repair in Graton for a few years now; since they opened their shop in Graton. Erik, Zack and now Jon are always really helpful and have tackled some fairly complicated repairs on my aging Mini Cooper. I'm very happy I took my Jeep and my GMC Sierra here. They were knowledgeable, transparent, and took the time to explain and show me what needed to be done, and then what had been done. They caught and repaired issues that had been neglected by the dealer shop. I wish I'd taken my Jeep to them a long time ago instead of wasting time and money at that other place. So not only did I get better service and a more pleasant experience, but I'm so glad keep my business in my local community.

This is a father son business. They are very nice people and went out of their way to help me when I was in a bind. They’re not the cheapest, but this is West Sonoma County. but I don’t think you’ll find a more honest or capable mechanic. You get what you pay for.
