After becoming disabled & with years of toxic relationships & being put down, plus fluctuating weight/body changes, my confidence & self esteem were at an all time low. When people told me that I was beautiful or good looking etc. I didn't believe them & couldn't see it. It had been that way for years.I had wanted to do a photoshoot like this for years, but never had the guts. I decided to do it for no one else but me.I was so nervous when I arrived at the studio. I was even shaking because my anxiety was so bad. Guy & Maria put me at ease almost immediately. The Prosecco helped too lol. Due to my disabilities there were certain poses etc. that I couldn't do. However, with Maria's assistance, Guy worked around me & focused on what I could do. He knew exactly what he was doing & how to achieve the best images. He pushed me out of my comfort zone, but in a good way & was constantly giving me positive affirmations to put me at ease & make me feel comfortable. At the end Guy projected the images on a huge screen. Within seconds... I think we had gotten to the second photo, I could feel a lump in my throat & I was trying to hold back the tears. I saw one photo that I absolutely love & I managed to get "I really like that one" out before the lump & tears got too much. Once the slideshow finished Guy asked me "What do you think?". I was trying so hard not to ball my eyes out, but I just couldn't speak. I didn't know what to say as I was so shocked & emotional by how great I actually looked. Eventually, I managed to get out the words "I look beautiful". I then broke down in tears & was so thankful to Guy. I don't think I've ever looked so good. Always ready, Guy quickly passed me the tissues before I ruined my amazing make up. Then my Mum started crying too, as I was explaining how I've never felt good enough, but I can see now that I am. Guy was constantly reassuring me throughout the whole process, but he has a great knack at making you realise that you are beautiful, & you are worthy & good enough. Guy described the whole experience as therapy & he is right. However, at least with Guy you actually get fantastic mementos to keep forever.I was desperate to get my hands on my book as soon as possible. After the shoot, Guy surprised me with a thank you card through the post, with my photo on the front. I loved the fact that despite my book not being ready, at least I had something in the meantime. I was so happy with it & was literally showing it off to everyone! I didn't even care that I was in my underwear & others would see that, as I looked so good. Plus, like Guy pointed out, people wear less on the beach, or by the pool on holiday.Doing this photoshoot is probably the best thing I have ever done for my confidence & self-esteem.Just before my book was ready, I went on holiday with my family & even my Mum noticed & commented that I was a lot more daring & comfortable with my outfit choices than I usually am. Before this shoot I was always so self conscious, wearing baggy, loose fitting clothes, so you can't see my lumps & bumps & pretty modest clothing too, because I thought my body was ugly. I was always worried about what others would think. However, now I don't care what others think so much & if I like something I will at the very least give it a try. There's still a way to go with my confidence & self-esteem, but Guy & Maria have both really helped with that. Now, if I am not feeling great, or not feeling confident about myself, I look at my photos & it's an instant reminder that I am good enough & I am beautiful, & now I won't let anyone tell me any different.I would highly recommend anyone wanting to feel & look good, to boost their confidence, or just to have amazing photos of themselves to go to Zoom Photography Studio (True You Boudoir). Guy is so lovely & welcoming & he's not just a photographer, he's pretty much a therapist too. His photography is so good, I haven't seen any that compare to his. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.Thank you once again Guy, Maria & Issac. I'm forever grateful.
