Family owned business doing things the right way. The real way. Stumbled upon this spot while looking for a nice desk chair for my wife’s home office. Came in knowing nothing about chairs, left with not only an outstanding chair, but an education. Doesn’t end there. My wife didn’t like the chair, didn’t feel right, an office chair is personal I get it. Went back a week later. No problems, didn’t make me feel awkward or weird about wanting to return it, just went above and beyond to make sure we got a chair she’d like. Old school, some say the right school. Got a home or office project in need of office equipment (chairs, desk). You will be very glad you at least stopped by and checked out the available referb stock of high quality equipment for really fair prices.Shop local, get treated like it. The owner and staff members were very thorough in explaining the key differences between the chairs I was interested in, and the ideal way to sit to ensure I could feel how the ways each chair tilted and the rigidity of the chair backs affected my body. I was able to find a chair I liked, and the person who helped me was also able to negotiate a discount, which I appreciated!

I love Berkeley Office Interiors! The owner David is a gentleman. I called today and explained how my Aeron office chair had busted. After a few minutes I said, "Can I bring it in so you can see if it's repairable, and if it's not I'll buy a new Aeron?" He said yes, and when I brought in the chair he knew exactly what was wrong. He fixed it in under 10 minutes and when I offered to pay him for his time he said, "No, that's ok." Very grateful for his generosity.

Daniel was the absolute best! We went in on a Sunday late in the afternoon, and he took great care of us. He devoted his time, carefully explaining all the features and helping me choose out the perfect standing desk and office chair. We were in the store for probably close to 2 hours, and Daniel did not rush us one bit and was very patient. Honestly, being in the store was so much fun!After all that, Daniel stayed beyond his shift and helped us load all the furniture up into our sedan car (I honestly did not think that all that could fit in our car). Overall, really great experience and will be back to purchase more items from them!

I unfortunately learned that the Aeron wasn’t a good match for me, but I was now stuck with it, as the seller refused to take returns. If someone had taken the time to teach me about ergonomics, I wouldn’t have made this mistake.Fast forward 3 years and the wrong chair has finally worn me out. I’m looking for new options - I saw the great reviews for Berkeley Office Interiors and let me just say, everyone singing David’s praise is spot on!I showed up unscheduled during a heatwave, and David still took a break from his project work to greet me and my partner, and gave us a brief history of ergonomic chairs, and good seating habits. David showed me several of the chairs in stock, talked through his personal preferences and experiences with each of them, and made some suggestions about posture and fit based on body type. He was more than happy to let me test the chairs at length- if you’re sitting for hours at work, you really need to try them a while. After taking a few days to weigh the options, I went back to pick up a Steelcase Leap V2. David remembered me from the week before, and got together a few options to pick from. Throughout the process, he was transparent about the trade offs of certain products, and about the differing wear and tear on the used chairs. He said “I sell to everyone like I’m selling to my own mother,” and it’s clear to me that he was not joking.
