I never thought I’d describe the experience of buying a new office chair as “joyful”, and yet here I am, doing just that. I visited BOI on a Wednesday with my friend, having no idea what I wanted other than a chair that was better than my current one. David was extremely knowledgeable but not pushy, and allowed us to explore the selection of seats available while engaging us both in lighthearted conversation. I found the perfect chair, and it was cleaned and vacuumed before I brought it home. If you have something very specific in mind, BOI might not be the best option for you since it’s primarily a secondhand collection. Nevertheless, I’d encourage anyone looking for a desk chair to pay them a visit — you never know what you might find!

Best place for office chairs in the east bay! Manny was super knowledgeable, took me through all the chair options, weighed pros and cons, and even took note of the exact model/color I wanted and called me when he got one in. Great experience all around!

Went into Berkeley Office Interiors yesterday looking for a Herman Miller Aeron, but after talking with David I ended up finding an even better chair for me, the Cool Mesh Pro XL.David was super helpful and actually took the time to explain what makes a chair good and how much proper posture matters. I came in thinking I just needed a better chair, but he helped me realize that even the best chair won’t help much if you’re not sitting properly. It’s been about 24 hours since my visit and I’m really happy with the chair. I also appreciate that David wasn’t just trying to make a sale and actually gave me honest advice. Definitely recommend checking them out if you’re looking for a good office chair!

First of all, Manny is fantastic! He helped my wife and I find the right desk for her in the store, offered to deliver it to us, and had it there within 24 hours. He was professional and super nice to talk to as well. Also, the prices are great and the desk we got has been amazing so far. Legit couldn't recommend Berkeley Office Interiors more!

Manny was incredibly knowledgeable and even stayed about 45 minutes past closing to give us enough time to finalize everything. At no point did I feel rushed or pressured into making a decision. The entire experience was so comfortable and relaxed that it felt more like buying a chair from a friend than dealing with a store representative. Highly recommend!

Just got home with my “new to me” Steelcase Think V1! This place is very cool and I walked in dead set on the idea that I wanted a Think V2 as I had one previously. Manny was working and helped me look at the Think V1-V3.He was super knowledgeable about all the chairs feature, differences between them and asked me why I wanted a steelcase V2. Since I had one before, we talked through why the V1 was better - he was right! I am super happy with my new chair and the process. Huge thanks to Manny for the help!!

Manny is great and knows his stuff. Got a Steelcase gesture after having back problems with my Aeron. Able to sit on and try out a wide variety of office chairs without an appointment and get one same day. No fuss, great price.

I needed a new office chair that supported my back and was adjustable to my size. Manny helped me find just the right chair, showed me how to operate the various levers so I could adjust it to the optimal size, and cleaned it up nicely before helping me get it into my car.

We bought a premium Contessa chair here for a very reasonable price. Most of the inventory is in perfect condition. You can feel that they put a lot of work into keeping the inventory in great shape. Manny was especially helpful. He spent a ton of time with us making sure we have a great fit, cleaned a chair for us, helped load the chair into the car, and was just super friendly and nice! Five stars! Looking forward to buying a desk from them next time!

They got the best chairs in the bay area! A local favorite! Very Affordable and the owner is very friendly, kind, and handsome. Also recommended a nice place to eat down the street. Try the pulled pork sandwich over there (Lama Beans). Awesome experience + got a nice office chair!👏 😎

This place knows office chairs 👍 The first time I came here, David gave an actually good pitch on how important a good chair is for your back, posture, etc. He made me care about not turning into a shrimp from my hybrid office job. Second visit, Manny clearly laid out the specs of the chair we were interested in and had me sold.

Manny and David are the best. David gave us a really in depth session all about chairs and desks and Manny was a great host for our time in the shop. We left with an awesome Sayl chair and I highly recommend coming here to check out their curated selection.

He took the time to answer my questions and helped me find exactly what I was looking for.The showroom had a great selection of high-quality chairs with options for comfort, style, and budget. I was especially impressed with the knowledge he has on each model of chair I asked about. GREAT JOB!
