I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but I really wanted to share my experience at Makers Woodshop because it was genuinely such a great night.A few friends kept encouraging me to take one of their woodworking classes, and I finally listened. I went in knowing absolutely nothing about woodworking and left with a cutting board I actually made myself — and somehow a whole new appreciation for the craft.Jason and his team were wonderful. They were incredibly attentive and willing to answer every question, but they also gave us the freedom to actually get in there, work with the tools, make decisions, and be creative. I never felt like I was just being shown how to do something and told to copy it. They really let you be part of the process.I loved learning about the different types of wood, how the pieces are selected, the process of putting everything together, and all of the thought and craftsmanship that goes into the beautiful pieces they create in their shop. There is something really special about taking a bunch of pieces of wood and watching them slowly become something completely different — and then getting to take home something you made with your own hands.Honestly, it was one of those nights that I found myself talking about afterward. It was fun, relaxing, creative, and just completely different from anything I normally do. And apparently I’m hooked because I’ve already picked out what I want to make next! 😂If you’ve ever thought about taking a class here, DO IT. Whether you know anything about woodworking or, like me, are starting from scratch, Jason and his team make the experience approachable, fun, and really memorable.And the pieces that come out of this shop? Truly remarkable. You can see how much skill, passion, and craftsmanship goes into every one of them. I can’t recommend Makers Woodshop enough!

Visited Makers Woodshop in Catonsville and absolutely loved it. This place feels like a hidden gem in the historic district — full of craftsmanship, creativity, and pieces that immediately catch your eye. You can tell there’s a real level of artistry and attention to detail in the finishes throughout the shop. There’s truly a little bit of everything for everyone, whether you’re looking for décor, furniture, or something unique — but the live edge pieces completely stole the show for me. Beautiful craftsmanship and a thoughtfully curated space. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate quality woodworking and handmade design.

No stars. Crossed paths with the owner in the very public, unmarked parking lot that he shares with multiple businesses. Accused me of parking on the wrong side. Not only was his behavior completely unhinged, but he was rude and threatening. Behaved the same way with an elderly woman right before me. All of this over parking. Be careful where you park or it could be you.

What an amazing experience! Jason took the time to help me pick the right wood for my project, showed me around the shop, and explained the different types of wood they carry and what kinds of projects they work best for. He also shared a lot of helpful tips and tricks that really motivated me to keep learning and improving my woodworking skills.As a beginner DIY woodworker, I really appreciate the guidance and support. I highly recommend Makers Woodshop for both professionals and beginners. The team and staff are fantastic—great people and great service. I’ll definitely be coming back for future projects.

I purchased a coordinating coffee table and side table from Makers Wood Shop and couldn't be happier. The beauty and detail cannot be captured in these photos. WOW!!!!!! This should be 10 Stars not 5. McCabe should get 15 stars. From start to finish the entire process was an enjoyable experience. From day one McCabe worked with us on picking the slab with different design ideas and color choices. The finished product turned out AMAZING!!!! The team delivered the tables and they treated my home like it was their own. Consummate professional's. I would recommend them to anyone and plan to work on another project with them in the fall.

Makers Woodshop is amazing! I visited their Catonsville showroom and was blown away by the quality and variety of their live-edge wood furniture. The craftsmanship is top-notch, and the staff was super helpful. They create custom pieces and even deliver to Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. This new MakersWoodshop Showroom is awesome! If you're tired of tracking these guys down at expos this is a great place to come visit to see some of what they can do and chat with a salesperson. Located a short drive from their workshop location, the showroom is conveniently located just off the highway and has free parking in the rear of the building. I visited during their grand opening and was able to meet a few different team members and talk to the owner. The wood/epoxy work is so beautiful! They do a lot of custom woodworking and can work with a range of budgets.

Very impressed and grateful! The entire staff is professional, friendly and VERY knowledgable! We simply went to Makers Woodshop to get a slab flattened. Not only did they do a perfect job of flattening our slab for us, Jason and his staff talked to my wife and I and gave us advice, showed us several projects and explained things that I was anxious to learn about. Great experience!!
