Velvet & Lace Events
Choosing Velvet and Lace Events was honestly the best decision I made for my wedding. As a bride, the two things I cared about most were the DJ and the bar. I wanted the dance floor packed the entire night. When we met with Erik (owner) over Zoom, he was super professional and really listened to everything my husband and I wanted. He gave helpful suggestions when I asked, but also let me fully explain my vision without ever making me feel rushed or talked over.Even though I was really focused on the reception music, I decided to let the DJs pick the songs for the ceremony and cocktail hour on their own (which I know was a risk), but it ended up being perfect. They totally got the vibe. When the actual party started, I literally did not leave the dance floor once. I had Tucker and Dallas as my DJs, and they were INSANE in the best way. I expected the typical “press play and transition” wedding DJ setup, but they were fully mixing, creating moments, and keeping the energy up. They read the room so well, and everyone was dancing young guests, older guests, and even people who never dance.I also really recommend some of the extras. The cold sparks were magical and made everything feel even more exciting. And if you’re thinking about the photobooth, definitely get it. My guests loved it, and it made sure everyone had photos even if my photographer didn’t get a shot of them. Plus, it gave people something fun to do while waiting for the restroom, drinks, or taking a break from dancing.Velvet and Lace was so organized, easy to communicate with, and went above and beyond every expectation. DJing a Mexican wedding isn't easy, I expected a lot and they delivered. As a bride, I can’t recommend them enough!
