CJ Physical Therapy & Pilates

In July of 2021, unfortunately, I had to have an L4 laminectomy. Things went great for a while, but approximately three years following surgery, I started experiencing chronic back pain. I went through all the standard medical procedures of muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatories, epidoral steroid injections, ablation injections, and lots of traditional physical therapy. I even tried acupuncture, as recommended by an orthopedic doctor. Nothing seemed to provide much relief. After a frustrating and somewhat painful attempt to play golf, a friend of mine told me about an article he read in the local paper written by Dr Carrie Jose, at CJ Physical Therapy, about chronic back pain. I decided to call CJ and see what it was about. Skeptical as I was, I was willing to do just about anything to alleviate the pain. It wasn't long after I started with the prescribed program my pain was much less. I've continued working with Drs Holly, Jill, and Todd and have been able to do many of the activities I love doing without pain. In summary I will say that most of the PT I've done in the past 4 years has been good, but very generic, primarily focused on developing core strength. At CJ the approach was very different. The therapists examined and documented my condition through motion and weekly feedback. They continued to tweak the prescribed stretching and movement exercises to address the areas of my spine and hips that were the potential source of my lower back pain. The PT and regenerative therapy has worked well for me. I'm way more active again and I'm able to do the things I love doing. I would highly recommend anyone else that's experienced something similar to give this program a try!
