If I could give Groovy Dogs and Bruce more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!After Jameis was attacked by another dog earlier this year, he developed severe reactivity toward both dogs and people. We were feeling completely helpless, especially after working with a previous trainer who brought no lasting success. Walks were constant stress, and we were always holding our breath expecting a reaction.Finding Bruce changed everything over the past few months. He is super flexible with scheduling, very reasonably priced, and seamless to work with. Most importantly, the transformation in Jameis is night and day. We went from being anxious on every walk to actually enjoying our outings and building a much stronger bond together.Jameis is overall a happier, calmer, and truly groovier boy thanks to Bruce. If you are struggling with reactivity or feel stuck, do not hesitate to call Groovy Dogs.

We cannot recommend Bruce with Groovy Dogs enough. We booked because we have a rescue Frenchie pup that is reactive with strangers and dogs. After the consult/initial meeting we immediately felt that Bruce was a good fit for training. We also added a second dog (with minimal issues) for a very small fee. Bruce truly has a gift for understanding and communicating with dogs! He is calm and very patient with not only the dogs but the people as well. & our dogs LOVED him! We began to see changes with our pups pretty quickly and it was such an advantage to have the “in home” one on one experience. The trust based training is beautiful. There are so many methods of training and some can be so harsh, leading to an untrusting relationship with your dog. I don’t think anyone wants that. Bruce also provides a training portal with all lessons, links, and training plan that is promptly updated after each session. Bruce’s character is evident in his work…He also has a fabulous sense of humor! We highly recommend trusting Bruce to help with your companion. It was worth every penny and then some. If you’re looking for in-home dog training, Bruce with Groovy Dogs is your guy! These 90 minute in home sessions and field trips were super helpful with my dog Murphy’s training. We could work on bad behaviors and obedience and ground zero (home) and out in public.Murphy loves Bruce and he developed a great relationship with him from the start showing him lots of love every time they worked together. I had great success with training my dog with Bruce’s techniques and he leaves you with a plan on how to continue the training in your day to day life.

Our puppy Fletcher loves Bruce! This was an amazing experience. If you're looking for a trainer for your dog, I highly recommend working with Bruce at Groovy Dogs.This is my first dog and my boyfriend's first puppy - while we were doing OK with some training we were starting to struggle with consistency, walking him on a leash and not being pulled, etc. We were watching YouTube videos, following training accounts on social media, and getting lots of conflicting messages!Over the last 6 weeks, Bruce's trust-based approach has had a great impact on how we interact with our dog and how he responds! He got to know our dog and adjusted what we were focusing on each week to tailor to his strengths and needs. Plus, he made it more palatable and fun for us and our pup. Bruce, or as we call him, Mr. Treats, has truly changed our dogs in an unbelievable way. The Groovy Dog Rules have helped us endlessly and they are techniques we practice daily. We had a great experience with Bruce training our dog Kane. They genuinely developed a relationship and he helped give us framework for how to deal with many of our dog's issues. I enjoy his training style as well as it truly teaches patience and an ethics of having your dog learn more from what they themselves are doing rather than us as owners. His goal was to get us to a point where we would not need to rely on him but he is so kind that he hasn't made us feel like we cannot still contact him if there are lingering issues.
