Friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
One of the best gyms I’ve been to. There’s always enough equipment and unlike others it isn’t broken. The coaches are fantastic and helped me get to a level of fitness I didn’t think was possible 6 months ago. They’ve helped me through a fat loss phase and to built muscle. I’ve recommended it to all my friends in the area. 5 stars
James is an incredible coach! His knowledge, patience, and dedication really stand out. He knows exactly how to bring out the best in each person and is always supportive throughout the process. The entire community here is amazing—warm, welcoming, and motivating. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, you'll feel right at home. Highly recommend!
This gym was perfect from transitioning for a performing background, to more muscle based workouts. James has helped me massively with my injury, and Harriet has been a brilliant asset to the team!

Yeah, James has help me shed three stone in the last six months but also has, somehow, given me a new lease on life ! But, since starting at Movement Culture, I feel very much more positive, AND, even the physical relationship I have with my wife of 33 years has, er, 'vastly improved', apparently ! (I hate to admit that I was a bit of a Panda before) James is confident and knowledgeable in this field, and takes great pride in offering the correct bespoke mix of advice, encouragement and sadism to suit each individual person's requirements. So, if you even slightly overweight, or maybe even a bit 'flat', like I was before, I'd strongly recommend that you 'grow a set' and check this place out. Less
I started at this gym over the summer and instantly felt welcomed by the coaches. They both care about more than just getting the workout done, they want to know what areas you struggle to improve and they keep you accountable.
Great gym with great members. Every workout is different and there are ways to scale it down if you aren't very experienced. The equipment is top notch and has everything a gym goer needs! James is keen to teach you new skills and is a great guy

The best gym in Bournemouth!! I came to this gym in May and instantly felt welcomed by everyone. James is an amazing coach who constantly pushes you to be the best you can be, and explains and guides you through anything you’re not sure about. 100% recommend and can’t wait to continue my journey towards competing in my first hyrox.

James gets the best out of you- I ask alot of questions but you get the 121 coaching you need - not what the whole class needs and this is why I love it. The environment is so encouraging, everybody wants to help, we do laugh alot but work hard! If you’re just ‘thinking’ about joining- just do it ! So much better than any commercial gym; as well as being personable, the workouts are scaled to you and what you’re capable of. I needed some where with suitable class time option's, that also provides me with variable workouts, to help me gain strenght and fitness all round. I tried the free session at movement culture and then signed up to the 4 week special offer. By the end of week one I felt energised, welcomed and enthused by the coach 'James'! I have since become a full time member and my teenagers have also joined and enjoying as much as I am. This is definately an inclusive space to get fit, strong and healthy! Less

Having been on and off to two other local CrossFit gyms over the last 5-6 years I never was able to really find myself. Many CrossFit gyms are daunting and have members looking to compete at heavy weights. This gym is not about hitting the heavy weights, it’s about working within your limits and working to improve you to move more, and improve your technique. You could be a seasoned CrossFitter having a few years off, or you could be completely new to this, but either way, James the coach will work with you without the scary weights and intense workouts. The gym has a nice vibe and everyone’s really friendly and for the first time for me, I’m really enjoying training and CrossFit as a whole, and… I’m seeing results on my own terms. As an experienced S&C coach and strength athlete, it's refreshing to be a member of a XF gym that breaks down movement skills simply and combine it with good conditioning WODs. I've searched tirelessly for gymnastics coaching in other gyms in Bournemouth, all were lazy with their coaching, overly expensive or very far away. As a trainer in Bournemouth who gets word of mouth from everyone under the sun, I've been told by many walks of life from experienced hardcore crossfitters, holiday goers all the way to newcomers that other XF boxes in B'mouth can be difficult to build good rapport, have too hardy of coaches or don't do enough training in fitness traits members generally lack in (usually Olympic lifting and/or Gymnastics). I've been to some of these gyms too and can confer. But at Movement Culture, I've already learnt lots of progressions to my weakness (gymnastic movements) which I've always struggled with even under a watchful eye from specialised professionals, for a very reasonable membership fee. Also, I've made a great start to pushing my VO2. The location, equipment and training advice is top class too. Less

I've been to a lot of gyms. This is by far the best. James is the best trainer I've ever had. Very inclusive and reasonably priced.
