We had both an EV charger & a Solar PV system installed recently by EV Charging Ireland. I finally found a company in the Solar Panels marketplace who know what they are doing, give you honest and sound advice, are highly efficient, carry out top class installations and also are reasonably priced. Overall they are a joy to deal with from start to finish including the installation work. The aftersales support is also top class.At a previous address we had Solar PV installed there by a different company and I learnt the hard way that many of the solar panel systems in the Irish marketplace are oversold and don’t live up to the promises or your expectations. Well this is the complete opposite – you can trust everything EV Charging say, rely on the advice they offer and you will be very happy with the end result. We certainly are and I would recommend EV Charging Ireland in the highest possible terms.

I got EV Charging Ireland to install a Smappee charger for me. I had looked around a few installers but decided to to go with EV Charging Ireland after speaking to them and getting a quote. I wanted the charger put half way down my garden which was a 35m run from the junction box.(Other installers has made a big issues of the distance) I sent a few pics and got a quote. After a few discussions with Aisling and Ellen, I decided to go with a Smappee charger although I was initially thinking of getting a Zappi charger. Installation on the day with Keith was very straight forward. After the charger was put in I had 1 or 2 issues over the next week or so with the configuration where the car wasn't resuming the charging the way I expected from my solar panels. I was in contact with Gerard and we figured out what was wrong. It is often when something goes wrong that you can see what a company is like and I never felt like I was just going to be left on my own or that I would be left with a half working system. Once the issue was resolved the charger has worked perfectly since (1 month). The job they did was very neat installation, the presales service was very good and the after sales support was very good also.The Smappee EV Wall charger itself is a nice looking charger, has smart charging (which I haven't used yet), solar only charging and manual charging. It also allows you to track electricity usage in your house (it has an energy management system which comes with the charger), out of the box you can see your solar production, what you are drawing from the grid and your ev charger usage. This can be extended to breakdown the usage in the house further by adding more clamps or using smart devices. Also you get extended reporting available through a web browser based dashboard which you can design yourself through a set of cards. There is loads you can do with it which I will look into more when I have timeI cant fault them in anyway and would totally recommend them as a company.

Very friendly and efficient. Did everything for the install of our EV charger including a series of electrical upgrades. Our installer, Keith, was excellent. Whole install was more expensive than we'd hoped, but we're very happy with the results.
