I had a very good experience with License Instruction Schools (LIS). The CSLB can be challenging to deal with. Getting anyone to respond to an email is nearly impossible. I have not yet gotten a response from them. LIS helped me navigate the application and test processes successfully.I did have to revise my initial Class B license application three times, which at first I found frustrating. At every turn though, LIS took my call and explained in detail why the revisions were needed. Once it past the LIS review it went right through the application approval process. In total, I probably spent two hours in communication with LIS to make this happen -- a very valuable service for the application process alone.In preparation for the exam, I used the prep materials that are part of the basic package. It's a large printed manual that focuses heavily on the Law Exam, which was by far the more challenging of the two exams. I also paid for the additional online training that was focused exclusively on the Trade and Safety sections. This material is very helpful. If you have your four years of experience and know the subject, the online material will help you sharpen up on trades that may not be your main construction focus.The exam prep before the test was really good as well -- thanks, Scott! The instructor covers not only the material but many of the tricks you might stumble over on the exam. It was a great group and left me razor focused to take the exams. Scott did a follow up call a few days after the exam to see how it went -- nice touch.I highly recommend License Instruction Schools. They took me from square one to getting my Class B license. I'll be back in a year or so to prep for another classification.Good Luck!

I got the test preparation bundle for C-38 the day before taking Law and business part and the materials helped me a lot. The test has a lot common logic and similar questions. So I passed it with just one day studying with new materials.thank you

It was a great experience at this license school. They simply challenge you saying that if don't pass you don't need to pay for their services and it's true. No bill until you PASS the test. I had tried another school that didn't help me at all, no support and no interest to help you after you buy their course. I felt myself so alone based on their promise that would walk with me in this process to get my license. I PASSED the test after 3 days studying with them. This school helped me to obtain my C-42 license in 2017. I then recently we back to this school to obtain my C-36. I passed my test the first time, thanks to the study material. Ryan is a great instructor.

The Program works. The audio Law Courses really were very useful. The people at the main office were also very helpful with the process. The Classroom work gets you tuned in on the test, the Instructor really covers the actual test's. First time pass.

License Instructions school helped to pass the trade and law exams! Ed and his team are very knowledgeable and professional top notch costumer service they answered all my questions by phone and email and were very patient with me helping to put all the pieces together. There are different schools around these area and I decided to choose this one because the website was simple and straight to the point. After enrollment they send you a manual and access to online preparation course that contains flash cards practice exams etc after that you set up an appointment for a 2 days in person class and after that you should be ready to pass the exam.

Both Carlos and Scott are amazing! They were both very knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. I studied with them and passed my general contractors exam on the first try. I would highly recommend the school.

This is my second license course with this school. I am so glad there is such a school. It is very helpful. Carlos and Scott were patient and helpful. They were clear in their explanations of the math concepts. I recommend this school 100%. As long as you pay attention and do the online study portion a few hours a day the week beforehand you will pass on the first try. Don’t be afraid to ask any questions or concerns you may have.
