Was getting a tattoo as a 38th Anniversary gift from the wife. Went in and talked with Mike who was VERY receptive to what I wanted. We agreed on a price and I was ready to go but he suggested I get it just before leaving so I could enjoy the sun and the beach as much as possible. (I hadn't even thought about that even though it was my 13th tat) When I went back for my appointment he had modified the War God Tiki I wanted to include some Polynesian triangle designs above and below the Tiki. I paid a $42 deposit at least I thought it was a deposit because when it was time to pay that amount wasn't considered in my total. All together I paid $210 including tip. What an incredible experience made only better by Daniel. My first tattoo and I am so overjoyed about the piece as well as the journey. A little history, my tattoo is an edelweiss flower which is cherished by my family - my mother's favorite flower and song. So, when my mother passed in 2020 - I decided to finally (after 25 years of consideration), get a tattoo. I have a couple of friends that are tattoo artists that no longer live on the island, so I asked one of them for a reference and he said to see Daniel at SAS. I stalked Daniel on IG for a bit - looking at his art - and was super impressed finally sending him a msg. He responded quickly and was so positive! After sending him photos of the flower we made an appt. Fast forward - I walk in and we discuss the flower - I'm not even sure where to put it, but have always wanted a foot tattoo. I called at 10 am on the morning of my birthday, and was kindly given an appointment for 1 pm within five minutes of my first call by the artist, Ashley. During my appointment, Diego was so kind as to drop the price for my birthday; and because of the budget that my mom was working with for a birthday present! He did an AMAZING job and finished almost an entire forearm piece within about an hour and a half, with skill and precision. This place is a new shop, and was the only one in the Waikiki area that had a short time for walk-ins when my fiancé and I wanted to get a tattoo the same day. I got mine done by Karl and my fiancé got a matching tattoo from Matt. Both were small tattoos (see photos attached) and the artists were extremely professional. Since this was my first tattoo, I was a nervous wreck and the whole shop definitely knew and worked to ease my fears about the pain (which, by the way, is really not too bad). Karl not only accurately explained to me how the tattoo would be feeling when getting it done, but answered the hundreds of questions I had about it in a very calm and patient manner. I was tattooed by Gio on our last night visiting. He was able to squeeze me in last minute before we flew back home. I had a rough idea about what I wanted and he was able to manifest it perfectly. He was really professional and helpful in letting me know that risks of a foot tattoo which I greatly appreciated. The tattoo came our better then expected! My friend got his ears pierced by Steve here! Steve was super chill and a pleasure to talk to. He seemed very experienced with it, and did a great job calming/relaxing the client. The price was $30 per ear, which seems a bit pricey to me, but my friend was satisfied! Less
