I was extremely disappointed by the exterior stain work done on The Leavenworth Hospital. The quality of the project was wildly inconsistent, and it honestly makes no sense that management switched painting companies midway through the job when the original crew clearly delivered far superior workmanship. The north-facing wall and one of the hallways looked fantastic. The lines were clean, the prep work was thorough, the coverage was even, and the overall finish looked professional and polished. You could immediately tell that attention to detail mattered. Later, I found out that work was completed by Cliffhanger Painting, and it absolutely showed. Their craftsmanship stood out in the best possible way.Unfortunately, the rest of the hospital exterior was a completely different story. CW Painting apparently took over the majority of the exterior work, and the difference in quality was shocking. Large portions of the building looked rushed, sloppy, uneven, and poorly prepared. There were visible inconsistencies in coverage, rough-looking finishes, and areas that honestly looked like corners were cut just to get the job done quickly. For a hospital — a public-facing facility that should represent professionalism and care — the final appearance was embarrassing. What makes this even more frustrating is that the contrast between the two companies’ work was impossible to ignore. One company demonstrated skill, professionalism, and pride in their craft, while the other appeared to prioritize speed over quality. I was told CW Painting completed their portion in about a week, and frankly, it looked like it.I genuinely do not understand why anyone would switch away from a company that was already doing exceptional work. Cliffhanger Painting proved they were capable of producing high-quality results, and the hospital should have stayed with them for the entire project. Instead, the building now looks inconsistent and poorly executed overall because of that decision. What was even more disturbing was visiting CW Painting’s website and instagram afterward and seeing photos of the hospital’s best-looking work prominently displayed there — specifically the hallway and north-facing wall that were reportedly completed by Cliffhanger Painting. Based on the dramatic difference in workmanship between those areas and the rest of the project, it raises serious questions about whether CW Painting is taking credit for work they may not have actually completed. If that is the case, it is incredibly misleading and 100% unprofessional.Very disappointing outcome for such an important facility.*UPDATE...after CW Painting response I feel it's an attempt to dissuade people from the fact their instagram photos (the first thing you see) is someone else's work. Unprofessional to say the least. I'm just a casual observer and noticed the differences so asked around why such poor workmanship was done. The hospital may have been satisfied at the time but after several years you can still see the fine craftsmanship from the first company hasn't aged one bit yet CW Painting is fading and staining the building. I will not use CW Painting in any of my projects because they are not taking accountability and the unprofessional manner of showcasing others work to pass off on their own. It's clear as day what was done. Thank youi
