Just returned to Cooley Smiles after moving away for several years. Dr. Allen did a very thorough exam & found a barely there, difficult to see cavity under my crown. Looking forward to getting it repaired soon! Stephanie, dental hygienist, did an outstanding job dealing with my sensitive teeth. The same great team as I remember. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Dr. Scott. He is friendly, kind, and took the time to explain everything, which made me feel much less worried. He did an excellent job and was honest about what treatment was actually needed. I really appreciated that he did not recommend unnecessary procedures or add extra costs. It's refreshing to find a dentist who genuinely puts the patient's best interests first. Highly recommend!

Date of visit: 06/01/2026Today I had one of my periodic cleanings and dental checkup at Cooley Smiles in Factoria. The office staff was top notch in being very welcoming and efficient as has always been my experience. As I witnessed, when a patient has any difficulty in filling out forms, the staff extends much patience and care in the process of assisting the patient. My hygienist welcomed me warmly and was right on top of information from my last appointment. She explained her step by step process and made me feel very comfortable as she began the cleaning process. She answered my questions concerning daily care of my teeth at points during my cleaning. Dr. Scott came in to examine my teeth and reinforced my daily habits to take care of my teeth. I highly recommend dental care at Cooley Smiles for their high degree of communication with patients, friendliness, and efficiency. You will not be disappointed!Date of visit: 08/28/2025Today I had one of my cleaning and checkup appointments with Cooley Smiles. Phil, my hygienist, was very welcoming and thorough in taking X-rays and in the cleaning procedure. Dr. Scott was dynamic and friendly as he explained the condition of my teeth as shown in the X-rays and in his checkup. I felt good about the care I was taking with my teeth. Also, I had brought in my mouth guard which had edges that were starting to fan out and rub into my cheeks and Dr. Scott diligently trimmed and tapered the edges and the fit now is great!!! Dr. Alan, who had successfully placed the two crowns last December, stopped in and it was good to affirm with him that the crowns are doing well. These are all examples of the caring atmosphere at Cooley Smiles and again, how the patient's well being is primary. I give highest accolades to the front office staff and medical staff for making going to the dentist a more pleasant experience.Date of visit: 12/27/2024Today I had two separate crowns put in to replace a bridged crown that was put in by a dentist when I lived in Illinois over 7 years ago. Dr. Alan had discovered that the bridged crown was presenting some difficulties and he was able to correct the situation with the 2 separate crowns. My prior dentist in Illinois did not have the skill that Dr. Alan exhibited. I was amazed at the precision of his and his assistants' work in such a successful crown replacement process. They all inspired my confidence throughout. Cooley Smiles works to "walk the talk" of caring for patients which includes the welcoming presence of workers in the reception area to the work of hygienists and dental assistants and those who assist with cost and insurance. The care by the dentists incorporates real teamwork with the assisting staff. I've now had 5 years of care with Cooley Smiles and it's been the best dental care I've ever had in my life.Date of visit: 10/16/2024I had my periodic teeth cleaning today and my hygienist was superior in making sure I was comfortable in the process as she did a thorough job of cleaning and taking an important X-Ray. The dentist arrived and discussed some potential areas for crown replacement. I've always appreciated the friendly professionalism shown by the hygienists, dental assistants, dentists, and office staff. I'm a new patient and ofcourse nervous as I've had quite a few bad experiences thru the years. I did my research and was excited to know that all the Drs in this dental office were in my network, with decade years of experience and high techology. Yeah!Anh, at the front desk was welcoming and helped me with completing the forms.Felicia personally came to my chair and welcomed me warmly and reassured me that they will do there best to take care of me after the bad experience I had prior.Karina, the Assistant was veryknowledgeable, experience and patient with taking a zillion pics from all angles.Then came in, was Dr. Jacqueline Tuazon.She was like a bright star! lit up the room with her lovely smile and warmest. She was so experience and knowledgeable, her kindnest reflected on her explaining the complexity of my issue with great simplicity! Never have I experienced a dentist explaining so detail of the treatment plan. She answered every question and was patient with me. She gave me all her time and made me feel special without having to rush me to take another patient like a number! She is THE BEST!!I highly recommend this Dentistry to anyone. You will feel appreciated and the quality of work they put in each day explains that they take great pride to make every patient feel extra special! 😀

Dr. Alan did an amazing job treating my cavity. He is professional, knowledgeable, thorough, attentive, gentle, and super friendly too! He even took photos during my treatment to show me what he removed and replaced. His assistant Alina was also personable and very experienced as well! My filling looks and feels perfect. My family has been their patients for a long time. Everything was fine until recently. Seems they replaced their dentists and assistants the last couple of years. New team is nice and patient but a lot less competent. At my latest cleaning they told me a few of my teeth needed fillings either because there was new cavity, or leak in old filling. I returned to get fillings done and it was a total disaster. I went in feeling normal but came back with both teeth they touched hurting. They ran out of time and left my third tooth, or it likely would've been worse. The first tooth had old filling replaced. He removed more tooth structure than necessary and got too close to the nerve. I had to tell him to stop since I was hurting a lot. Tooth became sensitive to anything moderately cold or hot and I had to go back to have desensitizers applied twice. The second tooth had a small cavity. I expected filling to be an easy job but this one fared worse. It hurts when I bite solid food. He attempted to adjust my bite and caused pain and bleeding, but he didn't even know something was wrong until I told him. It's been more than a month, pain is getting worse. I have to look for another dentist to save my tooth.I asked why he chose to replace the entire filling and remove more tooth when replacing just the leaky part would've been enough. He said he followed guidelines. That's a red flag. If someone blindly follows some recommendations he either doesn't understand that individual needs are different or doesn't care.Update: I went back to see another doctor, Dr Scott, who adjusted my bite in a way many dentists would not have thought of, and the pain is much better now. He also explained what I need to do to protect my teeth better. To be fair, it takes a lot of experience to quickly identify the root cause in this situation but not everyone has that kind of experience. I was a little too harsh before.
