This place exceeded all expectations! Friendly fast service and fresh flavors in every dish. Kare Ethiopia is the best restaurant in Phoenix.

What a wonderful experience! The food and tea were warm, satisfying and delicious. My son and I enjoyed it very much. We wish this family many more years of success. We'll be back!

2.5% service charge. We just subtract from total 15% tip. Server gave everyone bottled water without asking. We thought is was part of the meal. Then saw the receipe $1.25 per bottle. We looked around, mostly white. And everyone was given bottled water without asking.Food was good. the sponge bread does not have much sourness: kinda bland. Portion are smaller than other ethiopian resturant.

Don't judge a book by its cover, I wasn't expecting much when I pulled into the parking lot. What a pleasant surprise! The food is so full of flavor and the quantities are in excess. I think this is as close to Ethiopian cuisine as you can get without traveling to Ethiopia. I have to confess I've never been there but the flavors seem to be on par with what I would expect for that region of this little Blue Rock we call home. After you eat here, you too will understand why this place gets 4.9 Stars.

Good food with great flavor. The dishes are authentic, so be prepared for a different dining experience than your traditional American or European restaurant.

When the server asked us what to drink, we said water, and expected free glass of water, the owner gave us bottled water and never told us they charge $1.50 for one bottled water. We were recommended combo dish to try various meat and vegetable dishes, this combo dish turned to have 1 egg, 1 small rough chicken drumstick, a few beef pieces plus small portions of various vegetables along with bread. The combo dish is a total rip off for $46. The flavor is also a total disaster, some portions are too sour. Overall terrible experience, I would never go back.

Ate here on Christmas, only customer in. Very friendly staff and the food was amazing. Definitely coming back.

Delicious food, welcoming staff, and it felt like we were really visiting Ethiopia again.We enjoyed everything about or meal here. Try it.... You won't be disappointed.
