Absolutely brilliant academy. I transitioned here because their schedule fit my lifestyle and because I wanted to orient more toward the sport aspect of Jiu Jitsu. My daughter started going to the kids classes here for the same reasons. She loves the energy and class format as much as I do. My son recently started here as well and although he is very young, he loves the playful approach to warmups and is now starting to learn the moves. It's a very positive, supportive and welcoming atmosphere in all the classes at any time of day. As an added bonus, it's exciting to show up to tournaments with a bunch of teammates ready to have a great time.

Professor Thiago is a very accomplished bjj and judo black belt. All of the instructors ability to pass knowledge to others is amazing. Whether you are a beginner or advanced person, competitor or hobbyist everybody feels welcome. My nephew who is 4 yrs old also trains here.

Started martial arts when I was 5 and started grappling when I was 14, I’m 40 now. I’ve trained at the top rated BJJ gyms in the world and can tell you that this gym is and always will be my home. Thiago is a world champ and Olympic level judo champ. He teaches you the stuff that he has used over decades against the best in the world. Unlike a lot of gyms your teammates are all there to help you. The higher belts don’t just beat up the lower belts and Thiago treats the world champ competitor the same as the person there on their first day. I consider everyone there to be family. Still the best gym!

My daughter has attended classes with Thiago and George since she was three (about a year and a half). The instructors are incredible and great with the kids. It’s a very good balance between discipline and allowing the kids to be kids. I could not be happier with the instruction and guidance my daughter has received. Even at a young age she has progressed significantly in the time she has been has trained. I highly recommend Alliance, the instructors are great, I have nothing but positive things to say about everyone involved at Alliance.
