We are very happy with our solar installation by E-2 Solutions. We have a non-standard roof consisting of a torched-on membrane over 3.5 inches of insulation. Attaching the solar panels to the roof and ensuring a watertight membrane seal was not a standard installation process. We explained the details of our roof and received bids from 5 solar companies. E-2 Solutions was the only company to have a qualified installer visit and assess the roof before we committed to the project. Spencer and his team then worked cooperatively with us to find an installation and solar solution that worked for our roof. The cost was competitive and very good value for the quality of equipment installed. Spencer, Maria, and the installation crew were well organized and great to deal with throughout the design, regulatory and installation process. Any questions were listened to, considered, and thoroughly answered before the work proceeded. The solar installation occurred on a very hot day and there were some minor scrapes to the membrane roof granules. Spencer quickly let us know about the limited scrapes, showed us detailed pictures, and then had the roof repaired within two days at no additional cost to us using the original contractor that had installed our roof. I have came across E2 when looking for a solar panel installation. We got in touch and they were really helpful since the very beginning. Maria and Spencer are GREAT. I started looking for a Solar PV system in September and found E-2 through Glean Solar. We received 3 quotes from different companies, but E-2 was the most competitive and impressive. They keep up to date with newer panels and they have several crews with hard working electricians. Maria and Spencer made sure we understood the entire project and timeline. When my wife and I built our forever home in 2022, one of the things on the top of my wish list was to install a rooftop Solar System. After conducting research, I began my search early in January 2023 obtaining quotes from 4 installers. The other 3 were large well known solar installers in Calgary. I happened to discover E-2 Solutions through Instagram marketing, and seeing other Google reviews, I decided to get a quote from them.After some back and forth with sizing and such we finally came to a decision on the size and types of panels/inverters. E-2 Solutions blew the shingles off (pun intended) all the other quotes I received for very similar sized arrays and per watt pricing. I selected them in June 2023 and we began the process. It took a while for Fortis to approve our system, but once that was done, Spencer and the team were here the following week in September to get started. Took about 2 full days of installation and then City inspections. Even my neighbours pointed out that during the install the team was very tidy and left the place cleaner than it was before.From start to finish, Spencer and Maria were very helpful in answering my multiple, multiple, multiple questions. We had E-2 Solutions install our Solar Array onto the roof of our home. Of three companies who we had tendered, we selected E-2 because they had a competitive price, the reviews were great, and we favored having a small company so that we knew exactly who was doing the installation.Spencer, Maria, and the whole team were professional throughout the process, were great with communication, and had done an excellent job at doing a thorough cleanup after the work was completed. We did have a small delay during the installation, but this was due to the parts being stuck at the Vancouver port due to a strike, so that is not something that I would consider negative towards the installers. We were happy with their communication about the timeline.We used the Greener Homes loan program from the Canadian Government and E-2 was great at being flexible with the payment terms so that we would have the time after installation to get the loan application completed and obtain the funds for the balance owing.We will absolutely be keeping E-2 in our list of contractors for any and all of our future electrical needs.
