Dr. Michael and his staff are a wonderful resource if you're an active athlete. I play competitive volleyball, run, bike, and do yoga on a regular basis and Dr. Michael knowledge of injuries and biomechanics of overuse injury is unparalleled. He keeps up with current medical articles on what's a good treatment protocol. I've utilized multiple sessions of Shockwave with him on hip, knee, and back injuries (pick a joint!) and can feel the improvement. He uses the best Shockwave instrument available on the market called Storz along in a series of treatments using electromagnetic and ultrasound technology to get the "traffic jam" unstuck in the injured area. I highly recommend at least 3 sessions for shockwave. PT is also great in diagnosing my running form.

Dr. Shaine Anolin is the best! She listens extremely well and applies her physical therapy skills to the area needed. She keeps excellent notes and remembers everything from week to week. I have accomplished 11 sessions gaining mobility, balance and strength over the past three months. The shock wave therapy has assisted Shaine in addressing the issues and making the exercises to my particular need easier. She follows up with a written description of the exercises including pictures of the proper way to do each exercise. She demonstrates the exercise and has you practice in front of her to make sure you do it correctly, by assisting you with proper positioning. Dr. Shaine works with you and only you for the full 50 minutes carefully watching everything you do. I have always felt safe, while being stretched while in her hands. She has a bubbly personality and is fun to share ideas with. She is skilled and knows what she is doing to make you feel better and improve in your sport. Give her a try and I think you will find someone who cares about you in having your body parts function better.

I came into R3 to get some help with knee pain I had developed after training for a marathon and could not run for long without severe pain. I did my discovery visit with Dr Des who said they could have me ready to run the Rock n Roll half coming up in under 2 months. I worked with Dr Shaine and sure enough I was able to run it pain free! She even helped with the back pain I had been dealing with and other stuff that came up during my race prep. She's super knowledgeable and is attentive to any pain you may be dealing with. r3 athletic and physical therapy is the place to go if you are physically active and need help with quickly recovering from injury. i was training for a half ironman and 3 months before race day, the entire lower half of my body was suddenly in pain that would not go away.i reached out to r3 and the initial phone screen with mikey was treated with utmost urgency. i then met with dr. shaine, who has able to quickly and accurately diagnose that a nerve in my lower back was being pinched. not only did she prescribe exercises to help relieve the pain, but her attention to detail gave me confidence that i could recover on time. as i gradually started recovering, she guided me towards strength and conditioning plan that would help with avoiding this injury in the future. what i left with was concrete supplementary gym regimen, knowledge of what to do if i encounter this injury again, and a half ironman finisher medal!in addition to dr. shaine’s positivity, the overall vibe of the office is uplifting - my interactions with dr. michael, dr. des, and dr. dustin were very friendly and genuine. plus the doctors themselves are fit and participating in events too. r3 is the real deal and worth every penny!

I’ve been going to R3 Athletics for about 6 months now and I love it. I work with Dr.Dustin originally for strengthening my knee but now we work on everything. He’s extremely knowledgeable about the human body and all muscles. He’s taught me so much from workouts to stretches to different techniques (lifting/running/foot pain/shoulder pain/knee pain). I’ve gotten so much stronger and no longer have knee pain. My legs and body in general are stronger. If you have any questions about the body, he’ll have some advice. I’ve been struggling with De Quervain’s Tenosyvitis for over a year due to overuse from Pickleball and Weightlifting. I tried YouTube exercises, bracing, resting, cortisone, and nothing gave me relief and confidence to play hard. I found R3 through a Google search when I was feeling particularly anxious about not recovering. From the initial 1 hr consult I learned more about De Quervain’s than I had learned spamming videos and articles about it for the prior year. It was not covered by insurance but I need my hand healthy to support my hobby of coaching so I decided to spring for an 18-pack of sessions and 6-pack of shockwave. I have experienced consistent and significant benefits week over week and at time of writing I’m on session 13/18. At this point my right hand feels normal 99% of the time, my strength and range of motion feel better than they ever have, and I can recognize the signs of overuse. I have been returning to activity slowly and I’m doing so confidently because I understand my injury better and I think I will be 100% recovered with sessions to spare.If you’re reading this and aren’t sure about this practice or physical therapy I highly recommend giving it a try. You will get dedicated 1:1 time with a physical therapist and also the support of their colleagues. It is worth every penny to be able to return to sport and I wish I tried this in February 2025 when I first felt pain.

Everyone here is so friendly, positive, and supportive. I loved my sessions. Every staff member I came in contact with had genuine smiles on their faces and were always courteous, but special shout out to Dr Des and Mikey! After trying a in-network physical therapist, I knew I had to look elsewhere for the results I wanted. Not only was Mikey incredibly friendly and knowledgeable during my first phone call, but the entire team is kind and welcoming. I was assigned to Dr Dustin Sun. At first I thought he was pretty young to be treating me BUT after the first initial consultation, I knew we'd be a good match. He has great "bedside manner" and encourages you to keep trying to do better. He put me at ease with my short comings and celebrated when I got stronger. Knew when to pull back and when to encourage me to keep going. His knowledge of the human body and how to treat my challenges gave me so much confidence in his guidance. He's also a pretty cool guy and fun to talk to. I feel no matter who you go to, you're in great hands! I saw Dr Shaine once due to schedule conflict and she was great too! Highly recommend whether you need PT or you need to elevate your performance in what ever sports you do. Call for free consult. Tell them I sent you! :) Oh yeah! Finding them took me a minute. PT Shaine and Dustin helped me recover from a 4-5 month achilles tendinitis problem, the whole staff maintains a very positive atmosphere and they are always caring and supportive! Was able to run at nike indoor nationals after consistently 2 months PT, wouldn't have recovered nearly as fully without R3 Physical Therapy. Will definitely be sticking with them for the foreseeable future!

UPDATE: More than a year later, I regularIy jog and keep up with the strength exercises that I learned at R3. No injuries!---------------------------------------------I went to R3 twice weekly for more than two months to help my knee recover so that I could get back to jogging regularly. While making the appointment, I was already appreciative of how friendly and helpful Regina was. (Regina also helped walk me through the process of billing my health insurance.) During the consultation, I was impressed by how thorough the initial assessment was.I've worked with all three physical therapists on staff -- Doctors Jordan, Julia, and Des. They are all so supportive and caring! The exercises are tough at times, as they should be, but I've never felt pushed too hard.Mikey and the rest of the front desk staff are also very friendly and supportive, always ready to greet you (and say goodbye) with a big smile!
