Had a terrible experience with Roderick McClain. Filed taxes for 2024, I got audited for misinformation that I put for my address and some mistakes on his part. Gave it a second chance and filed with him for 2025 while he was trying to fight the audit for 2024. I went from getting $11k to owing $15k. The communication with Roderick was bad. Setting an appointment was useless cause I had to remind him every time. I always had to remind him what we were doing with the audit, which was understandable if he was dealing with a lot of ppl, but I mean come onnnnn. He said everyone gets audited all the time, yet he couldn’t fix my issues. I took all the steps that he told me to do so I did my part. This went on for a year. He was supposed to call me for an appointment to discuss the steps he took to fight the audit on May 6th, 2026 at 10am but he never replied to me or called. I accepted that he didn’t have time for my case and had to go to a tax relief consultant. The consultant said he didn’t understand why Roderick filed me the way he did, why he put sole proprietor when I had no receipts to prove a business, why I was not filed married filing separately after I told him multiple times I was married to my husband whom he filed his taxes with Roderick also…. The consultant pointed out multiple things wrong that Roderick did to get me the most back and unfortunately, I got audited.As long as you don’t get audited, you will get the most back. If you get audited, don’t count on Roderick to assist you.
