As a new resident in the Barrie community, I was hoping to find a reliable dental office and registered for a New Patient Visit at River Rock Dental. Unfortunately, my experience with their front desk service was disappointing from the start.I initially called to move my appointment within their short-notice window. The representative assured me it could be moved to the next day, but when I showed up, they had no record of the change and had cancelled my original appointment entirely. Mistakes happen, and I gave them the benefit of the doubt.I rescheduled for two weeks later since that was when I was next available to squeeze time out of my workday, but a week before that appointment, I received a call asking to move it up. Despite workday challenges, I rearranged my schedule and agreed. Shockingly, the very next day, they called again - this time to move my appointment to a completely different day due to low staffing.At this point (the fourth change), I asked for a note to be added to my file so this wouldn't keep happening and for empathy of this disruptive process. Instead, the rep dismissed with a my concerns with a sarcastic apology, denied any prior missteps, and claimed the appointment was only moved once from my original appointment date till now. There was no ownership, no accountability, and no empathy.I ultimately cancelled my appointment. A dental practice’s commitment to quality service should begin long before the patient is in the chair. Unfortunately, my experience with River Rock Dental's administrative handling left a poor impression. First impressions matter, and this one was appalling.
