Went for a full day Watauga float, difficult conditions and a very long day, and I still came away with PB wild brown. Definitely would not have been successful at all without the incredible guide quality being what it was. Cannot recommend these guys enough, and this will definitely not be my last trip out with them.

Fished the Watauga and S. Holston with Justin on 11/15 and 11/16. This is probably my seventh or eighth float trip over the years with Justin and/or his brothers. I suggest doing 2 half day floats...one morning and one afternoon. Stay overnight at a nearby lodge...Pappaws (by the river) and grille yourself a steak..sit by the riverside firepit for a cigar and sip bourbon! Justin and his brothers...they definitely know the rivers and where the trout are waiting patiently for you to float by!

Enjoyed a half day trip with Nick on October 23rd! Nick put us on the tailgaters of Watauga dam, his instruction was patient and I feel I went from a beginner to a novice flyfisher in just a few hours! He maximized our experience with sound tips and excellent gear handling. There are no guarantees, but my fellow angler and I landed a combined 15 trout both wild and stocked. Several of the trout being 15-18+ inches! The gear and boat were top notch. Well worth the investment for an excellent fly fishing experience!Highly recommend Nick and Trophy Water guide service!

Justin is THE MAN! Couldn’t have asked for a better first fly fishing experience on the river for me and my girlfriend! Super patient and knowledgeable about getting those fish on the end of your line and having a great time while doing it! Man works hard to make sure you get that fish of a lifetime! Definitely made some return customers out of us and can’t wait to come back and fish with you again!

We had three great days with Trophy Water Guide Rhett. Wow. Amongst the best trips we’ve had with a guide. Fun. Encouraging. Extremely knowledgeable about the Holston and Watauga streams. Both Rhett and Justin are such well bred gentlemen. Book them for sure.
