I am so leery of trade/contractors/construction companies these days. A couple years ago we called a plumber who did a lot of work for our church so we thought they’d be kind and fair to us. They clearly weren’t concerned with being kind to us or their reputation- they charged us so much money to fix a problem that took them maybe 15 minutes. More than quoted. Fast forward to today: our kitchen sink is clogged. My husband snaked it 4 times/changed the p-trap/changed the airflow vent- nothing. It had now been two weeks; that’s when I knew I had to call a plumber. My least favorite thing because how do you know who to trust? How do you know you are dealing with someone kind? I looked up plumbing companies and the one that caught my eye was Bigfoot Plumbing; the listing says resides in Sandy/family owned. Perfect. I don’t know if this will be good or bad but what I do know is that I’m going to try them. So I gave them a call and spoke with Brennon to get scheduled. Things were immediately great; he was a great guy but even better- he spoke to me like a human; he got us scheduled for the next day. Kevin was on time, super nice, knew his stuff, wasn’t pushy at all- in fact you feel like he’s a buddy. Between the excellent customer service and the excellent plumbing service- this is your company. If you need a plumber, call Bigfoot. If there were more stars I’d give them those too.

Kevin was quick to arrive, he Homed in on the problem and solved it.Overall, about three hours.

UPDATE!! Today we had some major plumbing issues. Yucky stuff coming up everywhere. Now I said that Bigfoot was going to be my permanent plumber and I meant it!But given that today is a Sunday, I did not think Kevin would answer right away and also be willing to come right away. I shouldn’t have doubted him. Kevin answered, greeted me warmly, and told me he would be on the way as soon as wrapped up at Costco (totally feel bad that I interrupted a good Costco trip).Kevin got here and went to work quickly, resolving the clog. And he was a polite and lovely as he was when he did the work for us before. This feels like it must have felt in the old days when you have trusted people you called on—butchers, plumbers, barbers.I’ll tell you again—Bigfoot Plumbing is the kind of quality tradesman that we just don’t always see anymore. Bigfoot Plumbing did an amazing job fixing our emergency water leak quickly and professionally. The plumber, Kevin, arrived fast and fixed it with great care. He was very kind and knowledgeable. Had Kevin come by to fix our leaking master bathroom sink.He was very communicative and kept me up to date with how things were going. Supplied me with pictures to explain what the problem was and what needed to be done to fix it.After a new part turned out to be defective, he came back at 7pm the same day to make it right and swapped it out with a working part with no extra cost or complaining.Excellent customer service all around and will definitely look into using Bigfoot again in the future!
