Amazing food, clean friendly environment, and that mac and cheese is amazing. Definitely a must go to place.

Great food and service! The brisket sandwich was so good. It was worth the drive!

Amazing food, good service, enjoyable atmosphere. The food isn't cheap but it's well worth it, and your meal can be easily customized by choosing from a variety of delicious sides to go with your chosen meat.

Was visiting the area and drove an hour from where I was staying because of the cask ales offered. This is a rare thing to find in the US, so if you like beer and have never tried it I highly suggest you check it out!James' service was second to none. He loved sharing about the ales and the brewery and the differences between cask and traditional keg offerings.I did get a smoked turkey slider which was very good and housemade applesauce. Pair that with the beer, a chilly fall day and a fireplace and it was everything I missed after moving to Florida lol. If I'm ever in the area again I shall return.

10.16.26. I had given up barbeque ribs in Pa. after I moved from Md. 21 years ago. Adams Ribs was the most phenomenal rib house in the Annapolis Md area. Then I got to Pa. and tried 15 or 20 restaurants where ribs were touted as great and finally gave up. Good ribs don't have to be masked up like they are going to a Halloween party.I found so many variations of what they called good ribs, so fat they could be pressed for lard, so little meat they could pass for a starving dog, boiled like a hot dog and all lathered in bbq slime. The rack of ribs I got tonight was phenomenal; out of the league of what I have tried in Pa. and simply delicious like Adams. I got my love for ribs back tonight.I ususually do close to 200 restaurants a year so I know the good from the bad. I love eating out when the food is super.I was wowed, totally impressed and will return. This well decorated restaurant is just a perfect place for a group to gather.

I did not eat here, but the bbq smelled heavenly! To coin a phrase “I’m only here for the beer”. I saw online that their beer was brewed differently. I tried their seasonal and a dark. Both were very good. I’m more of an IPA guy but these were OK. I did a self guided tour of there brewing area, very interesting, since I also make beer myself. If you are hungry and want some beer this is the place. Detwiller Brewing is the brewing part (Ther is no sign out front, just sayin) I recommend🍺

Incredible selection and quality of food. 10/10 recommend

You order food at the counter. But staff was friendly. Nice set up inside. No complaints. Food was great. I had the 2 meat platter, sausage and brisket. Only thing I could suggest is more BBQ sauce options. They only had a regular and spicy.

Stampede Barbecue absolutely delivered. The meat was incredibly tender and sweet. Plus, the pickle potato salad was the bomb. Overall, I would definitely recommend them—five out of five.

Awesome place. Best turkey and brisket I have had. I liked both the spicy and regular bbq sauce.

Now that's some good eating! I had the brisket sloppy Joe, which was good, but next time I will stick to the MEAT. My son had the turkey sandwich, which was also quite tasty. Just a heads up... If you want cheese in your sandwich you have to ASK for it. Apparently not everybody likes cheese as much as me. Overall, 5 stars. Will definitely visit again, and I live 120 miles away!

My husband and I loved the atmosphere and the meals we had so much that we decided to use Stampede BBQ for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. It turned out to be an awesome choice! We rented the loft. Everyone raved about the food. I was a little worried that we'd run low due to the fact that there were a bunch of young men in our party, but there was plenty! I had dropped off some tablecloths and flower arrangements I had made but didn't have time to stay and decorate. Buse did a fantastic job even adding some candles for a finishing touch. She was absolutely a pleasure to work with, and we feel like we gained a new friend. If you're considering a place for a gathering for a party or rehearsal dinner like us, absolutely consider Stampede BBQ. It was perfect, and most of all, the bride and groom loved it!!!!! Thanks, Buse! (and the bartender is a hoot!)

This is the best BBQ/any food restaurant! I visit as often as possible. The manager here is always happy to see us and just always seems happy working there. It has a great family feel to it and is certainly worth waiting in line for. The only comparable place for BBQ is sweet Lucy’s on State Rd. in Philadelphia, but, Stampede is superior food and much cleaner. That’s a bit far just for food.

The best restaurant in the world

2026-08-21T11:04:46.149Z

Food was good but seemed over done and blaned and a little pricey.

This place is incredible! We came in late and their kitchen closes at 8:00, an hour before the bar. So they had us sit at the bar and the best bar tender, James, took the best care of us while we waited for our food-which was out of this world! Also noted was the BEST Expresso Martini (made with fresh made Expresso), hands down!!! Some of the best beer and pear cider I have ever had!

Great food

We recently hosted a family event with about 40 guests at Stampede. It’s an ideal location with its great atmosphere and delicious food. Buse couldn’t have done a better job making sure every detail was thought of and absolutely perfect. She treated us like family. Stampede is lucky to have her. Overall 10/10 from beginning to end! Thank you Buse & Stampede for making our day so memorable!

Excellent, excellent brisket and wings! Would have given them five stars but portions were smaller than I expected.

Stampede Barbecue is a true hidden gem in Pennsylvania. The atmosphere here is transcendent and instantly takes you back in time. The outdoor seating in the back features beautiful landscaping, and the entire property is immaculate. Even the staff are well-mannered and dressed in clean whites. This is rare for a BBQ joint, but it speaks volumes about their upscale standards. The food overall is very good, and their soda options were great. The absolute star of the show is the brisket. It was super tender, even more so than the ribs. The ribs and pulled pork were both good, and the chicken sandwich was packed with great flavor. For sides, the baked beans were delectable, and the mac and cheese was delicious. We also tried the hush puppies, which lean more savory than sweet. They were so well-seasoned that we actually ordered a second batch to go. The potato salad was decent, though it felt like it was missing something or perhaps had a bit too much vinegar and celery the day we visited. While the meal was great, a few tweaks could easily push this to a 5-star experience:- The Cornbread: It lacked sweetness and, while slightly moist, left much to be desired.- The Sauces: The house BBQ sauce does the job, but offering a familiar option like Sweet Baby Ray’s alongside it would take things to the next level.- The Bread: Serving plain white bread felt like a bit of an insult given the price point. It would be amazing if they offered Texas Toast or an upgraded cornbread (once the recipe is tweaked) for a slight upcharge. The portions are on the smaller side for the money you pay, but look at the bright side: you won't leave feeling uncomfortably overstuffed, which leaves perfect room to grab dessert on the drive home. This is exceptionally clean BBQ in a beautiful setting, and we will definitely be returning!
