We recently purchased our first home, and have had 3 great experiences with Brandon. He came initially to check out a couple of things we'd flagged on around our property - he was chill, friendly, responsive, practical, and very straightforward. He fixed one minor thing that day, and gave us some advice on what to think about going forward. Since then, we've had him back to install a water line for our fridge and to fix our garbage disposal. For the water line to the fridge, he gave us two options for how it could work and was clear about the pros and cons of each. Recently purchased a house and with inspection the inspector said my sewer lines were getting roots in them and could eventually lead to a blockage. Initially planned on having that service done at a later time and then my water heater began to leak. I first contacted my home warranty as they were little no no help. The contractor they sent out kept trying to up charge for everything saying I needed new gas and water lines and that they wanted to move the water heater else where. I decided to get a couple more quotes for separate contractors. The first company that came out tried to charge me even more then the home warranty company. Thank goodness I was able to find Hughes plumbing. I contacted them and Brandon (the owner) was at my door the next day and gave me a quote I couldn't turn down. Not only did he not try to up charge me he was friendly, straight forward, and very professional. Never once did I feel like I was getting the run around. It's hard to find people so trustworthy these days. Since he was so great I also asked him to check out the sewer line. He ran the camera both ways and gave me his honest recommendation but I didn't feel pressured to go either way. I decided to have it done for peace of mind and the total repairs were less than the home warranty company and the other plumbing companies and he fixed both issues! On Sunday evening late the toilets, sinks and all began backing up, I didn't know what to do but called Brandon of Hughes Plumbing and he said he'd be right over, I was so relieved. When he got here the only means of clearing it was from the roof and it was dark but he got up there and cleared it but after seeing how bad the main sewer line was , the original 1960s cast iron sewer line we decided it need replacing so they started. What a job but Brandon's crew were amazing , first finding where to begin because my house is on a slab not a raised foundation. Using a special camera and tools to find the way under the house . The next day it was raining hard but they were here working under canopies replacing new material for the sewer line and finishing it earlier that day than expected. Best plumber I have ever seen. I was on a business trip and my wife was in tears. The Gas Company suddenly turned off our gas due to a leak in the winter (no heat, no hot water), and my wife just got a $26k quote from a plumber to fix the issue. We needed a second opinion and got a referral to Brandon/Hughes from a friend. They came out on a Holiday and worked HOURS and HOURS trying to find leaks (cheap) instead of just saying we needed to replace everything (expensive). Dudes were on a mission crawling around in the attic and garage. They methodically isolated the issue (stove top), capped that section and got our gas back on (heat, not water). Then, came back the next day and fixed the issue for LESS THAN THEY QUOTED. Then, at the very end, there was an issue where we had to call the gas company out again to fix something. The guys hung around and FREAKING TIPPED THE GAS COMPANY GUY for hustling out to resolve the final issue. Wow. Less

We had a leak that was threatening to ruin a wall in our house and flood the garage so I put out a request for quote on Yelp. The result was easily the best plumber experience in 30 years - no joke, call these guys up they will bend over backwards to make things right for you, on very short notice. Brandon, the owner, answered my Yelp request for quote in about 10 minutes and had his plumber (also named Brandon) at our house in Santa Clarita in about 60 minutes. Brandon arrived promptly, was incredibly courteous and polite and worked hard to figure out the issue. After making a couple of test holes in the garage wall in exactly the right places (checking with me both times before he did), we found there were no pipes in the wall leaking at all. Brandon deduced that our high pressure was causing our water heater to vent at random times,and due to a bad solder joint water was running along the pipe and accumluating behind the wall - he ran a quick vent test and was 100% correct. It was not an easy problem to solve! Brandon then ran all over town finding the right parts and stayed until 8 on a Friday night to make sure the pressure regulator, the water shut off (which was also broken) were fixed, and he replaced the vent valve on the water heater to be safe at no charge. And they charged 2/3 of what home warranty plumber was going to charge us out of pocket, even after he collected from the warranty people! On very short notice and late in the evening, Brandon (the owner of the company) and his employee came to our house to assess a potential water leak. Not only did they come wearing masks, they also placed booties on their shoes so they would not dirty our floor. They were incredibly polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. They checked absolutely everything that could've been causing the leak inside, and then proceeded to crawl under the house (they searched under there for a very long time- they were very thorough!). I recently purchased a house and I needed a new waterline put in for my new refrigerator. Being the Yelper that I am, I depend on reviews to guide me in supporting the right businesses. At the same time, I wanted to find a reliable plumber for any future issues. I sent an inquiry for price quotes on Yelp and sure enough, I got a ton of responses, with Brandon being one of the very first ones. I was a little hesitant talking to Brandon at first because he didn't have any reviews on Yelp whatsoever. However, since I was getting price quotes from everyone, I gave him an opportunity to swing by with a free estimate. Long story short, out of all the plumbers on Yelp, Brandon was the ONLY one that gave me a reasonable & practical alternative in installing a new waterline. You see, my fridge is right across from my sink, which is definitely NOT ideal but that's how the house came. Everyone I spoke to wanted to bust a hole through the wall since the water heater was nearby then told me they don't do dry wall, blah, blah, blah. One even gave me a ridiculous estimate of $1800 to have the waterline come from the attic. Seriously?! PASS. So here I'm thinking, 'why can't we just connect a waterline from the sink across the way but have it run up the wall & across to the fridge?' This way, there's minimal damage to the wall, and it made a lot of sense to me. Brandon was the only one that presented that idea to me for a very reasonable $300 estimate. This told me that Brandon wasn't just about making money but actually helping people.
