This place is a delight. It is the way all gyms should be! Candace and all of the coaches are fantastic! It is extremely refreshing to be treated like a human, not a number. My favorite elements:(1) The classes have people of varying fitness levels. No one cares. The reps, weight, time, etc. that’s right for you is not right for me. Everyone works at their own level.(2) The class exercises are planned ahead, and the coaches go over the exercises in class. I have enough crap to take care of as is - All I have to do is show up.(3) The class exercises change from day-to-day and week-to-week. I mega-loathe boredom and monotony.(4) The classes are fun. Both the coaches and class members can be quite entertaining. My two-cents (now rounded to no-cents):Not a fitness nut? Great! You can take classes a few days a week or dial down the intensity to still maintain an activity lifestyle. Are you a fitness nut? Great! You can create a plan to build up to competition-levels as to compete or simply challenge yourself!Struggling with motivation? Great! Me too! You’ve confirmed you’re not an AI Overlord! Talk with Candace, the coaches, or even other class members. Group classes are a great way to build momentum from someone else’s momentum.Missing your normal classes? Hopefully, everything is ok. Maybe work was crazy for a week. Maybe you abruptly took a vacation. Don’t be shocked if someone reaches out to you to check-in.Worried about that old figure-skating injury from your glory days?!?!!… If your doctor has cleared you, great! Let the coaches know! They’ll discuss exercise modifications or less intense versions to help keep you injury free! No one wants an injury to impede your over-the-top “jazz fingers” while you sing like a dying goat on karaoke night or for kicks-and-giggles in class, if you so choose.
