Earlier this year my partner and I started looking for a house to purchase in Philadelphia. We had been renters up until then and really had no idea how to go about purchasing a home. We scheduled a few tours off of Zillow and met Emma at on of the first homes we looked at. That first walkthrough with Emma was such a great experience. She was so friendly and jovial that we immediately felt at ease. She also expressed a lot of knowledge regarding the electrical and plumbing systems in the house we were looking at. We did not get that house, but that first meeting with Emma was so positive that we decided to hire her as our agent that very day. As first-time home buyers we were very cautious when it came to hiring an agent. We had heard horror stories from friends and families about their previous experiences with incompetent or sleazy agents. We initially decided not to hire an agent for our search, but our tune quickly changed after meeting Emma. A lot of our decision to work with Emma came down to how genuinely friendly and relaxed she is. We thought house hunting and the final closing were going to be a real slog involving a lot of stress. That just was not the case thanks to Emma. She’s just a really fun person to be around, always keeping the mood light and positive. She’s super easy to have a conversation with and we ended up learning a lot more about Philadelphia in general through her stories and insights. She’s also super communicative, but not to the point of overbearingness. She would email us regular updates and statuses about the houses we were seeing or wanted to see, and was always open to answering our myriads of questions. In terms of the actual house hunting, Emma was able to regularly provide a slew of homes that matched our needs and in the exact neighborhoods we were looking to move too. As I mentioned earlier, she’s also got a lot of knowledge when it comes to the innards of a home. She wasn’t afraid to tell us about a pipe or wires that looked iffy, and she was a great soundboard to bounce renovation ideas off of thanks to her own experience modifying her house. She was so organized as well. We always had physical packets of the houses we were touring every weekend and email follow-ups with info about the ones we were most interested in the following day. When it came to closing time, we were obviously a bit nervous. There were so many forms and documents to sign that it would have been overwhelming on our own. Thankfully, we had Emma to walk us through step-by-step. She made sure we were always aware of what deadlines we needed to meet and what part of the closing process we needed to prioritize as we moved through it. We are now living in an amazing home with everything we wanted (and then some) and in our ideal neighborhood. We truly could not have done this without Emma. If you’re hunting for your own home then I 10/10 recommend Emma as your agent, especially if this is your first time buying!

Chad was awesome! He showed us many houses over a year until we found something we were happy with. He was very responsive and flexible with our schedules and needs. He even came out to show us houses when we asked after a horrible blizzard when there was snow everywhere. He also spent time explaining a lot of processes we didn’t understand as first time buyers. Chad did a wonderful job helping me buy my first home. I felt immediately at ease when we toured the first house I selected, and he immediately pointed out problems and said he thought the house was not being offered at a fair price.
