A great country location for such a beautiful caravan/camping park.The park facilities were immaculate and always clean.A beautiful swimming pool area, great camp kitchen area with plenty of tables and seating.Located between Nambour and Tin Can Bay and well worth a stay with a difference- we will definitely return at sometime in the future.

Our powered site was set right near a pine forest and was extra large ....now the not so good news ...The facilities were not adequate for the amount of guests and because of the constant use floors were always under water..the owners provided mops at the door but it seemed were never used....The camp kitchen had two BBQs which had No Gas and the hot plates were covered in Rat dung ...The Manager never seemed happy so I avoided reporting any of the above

Such a peaceful secluded caravan park. Lots of grass for the kids and dog. So much open space and huge sites.

Great gday park, lots of roomy sites, some adjacent to helicopter grassed oval. Very reasonable cost.Interesting military history in the formation of Standown Park.Awsome wifi which easily had bandwidth to run tv internet channels, netflix as free to air is reception is minimal.Be aware that the road into office is gravel and sites along there can be dusty as in dry weather.We took a powered grassy site.Absolutely great huge areas to cater for nonpowered camps.Has a great pool and adjacent covered area with comfortable seating.Quiet as highway is not close, loved walking the dog along the massive mature pine forest track early morning spotting wallabies, hares and most of all the 100s of black cockatoos flying overhead on their way out for the day.Yep, a great relaxing spot to explore Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach areas.

This park is different than all others.Plus what has been mentioned in other reviews.You get a nice peaceful feeling to be into the forest with Shower,Toilet and Pool. Will definitely comeback and spend more time specially it’s only couple of hours drive from Brisbane.

Stayed there before and after visiting k’gari, only 30 mins from rainbow beach so very ideal. Bathrooms are really clean. Swimming pool is really nice too. I recommend.

Enjoyed overnight stay, $40 for 2 people slab powered site near central amenities and kitchen. Clean, decently maintained. It's a quiet rural setting amongst paddocks, wood,cane fields and rolling hills. There's a few things to look at like tributes to servicemen. Nice pool to cool off in. Wifi works. Friendly manager.

Our 1st stay and it was great. Beautiful green grassy sites surrounded by lush gardens. The pool area was a hit for the kids.

If you are Military or ex Military. This is the place for you. It has an rememberence area set up. History wall of Australian armed service.Staff here are so down to earth and it's so peaceful. We have even extended our stay it's so good.

I loved the history of this park and was really looking forward to our 2 night stay. I can see they have invested money into the pool and toilet/shower block which is great but No manicured gardens and the memorabilia is a fabulous touch though that entire area needed a good clean and some TLC, Would love to see the area by the dam restored and maintained as this is a big part of this parks history, it was sad to see it has been neglected. And I think the permanents need to be separated from the visitor area a little more as let it down a bit as well. I’d love to come back in the future as it has massive potential to be a superior park.

Fantastic and picturesque caravan park which also serves as a tribute to service personnel. The park is beautifully set out with amazing facilities. The showers and toilets are spotless. The kitchen area has everything, pizza oven, BBQ’s, stoves and microwaves. Really well stocked. The owner/manager is a nice bloke with a wicked sense of humour who mingles and mixes with visitors. The grounds are outstanding, along with the pool and the dam. Rates are very reasonable. You also have access to Tin Can Bay, Rainbow Beach and Gympie. Park is very pet friendly. Highly recommend a stay.

Nice and quiet place but very rude owner. That guy doesn't know what is etiquette on how to approach a customer. Not even asking how was our stay.

A nice location but you get the feeling they don't really want touring caravans. I've never been anywhere that when on a grass site they won't allow you to put down a mat. The site manager doesn't really seem to like his job much a bit combative.
