Communicated the time line before the install, came and introduced him self the morning of the install, let me know where they were in the process throughout the day, made an installer come back when one vent didn’t meet his expectations and made sure my yard was clear of debris so my pets could safely go outside. They finished the job beautifully (and on time) and took the extra step of replacing some metal flashing that hadn’t been known to be a problem just because it was the right thing to do. Jose coordinated a final walkthrough that worked with my schedule and made sure I was pleased with the final results. I most certainly was! As a final indication of their dedication to excellence, Jose made a very thorough final pass with a nail magnet in an attempt to pick up any stragglers that weren’t caught on the crew’s final check. This was my first time I needed a roof repair and after vetting several contractors, there was just something about working with Coy that left me feeling like we'd be in good hands. Coy walked my wife and I through the process, was very up front about everything from the best case, usual case and worst case scenarios but assured us he'd be with us all the way. He gave me his direct number and worked with me and the insurance throughout the entire process. We started our process in April and Coy stayed steady and persistent all the way through, finally convincing the insurance of our needed replacement. He was awesome! In September, when we began our work, Coy introduced me to Jose, the project manager. Jose walked me through what project day would look like and gave me updates throughout the day as to the progress. He even took the time to show me the work as he was completing it. When he ran into unforeseen issues like rotting decking, Jose and Coy were both on-site to explain how they were going to solution the problem. Again, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. All the guys working on the home were incredibly careful and after they had finished, there was not a scrap of roofing anywhere to be found on my lawn. It was like I woke up with a new roof overnight. The following day, Jose did a follow up inspection and caught a few things that the city inspector missed and had someone out that night to correct some minor issues. Even the guys taking my solar panels off and putting them back on were awesome. They installed new, flashless hardware on my roof so they didn't have to pry up any of the new shingles. I'm now working with them on replacing my siding. I highly recommend you work with Coy and Jose on any roofing project you have. They're amazing! Less

He has kept us informed on every step of the process thus the roof installation today. Lots of houses in our neighborhood have gotten new roofs since last Oct. 2019. Watching those installations and seeing our installation today, it is obvious that Renown workers are working at a higher level of professionalism. A Container for scrapes and 10 guys showed up around 7am this morning. They covered our 950’ sq ft deck with a tarp to protect it! They covered all of our shrubs with black mesh front and back yards. They also put black mesh on the ground all around the house to catch scrapes and trash that fell off the roof. They cleaned up everything great! We originally contacted Renown around the end of April and while they were quick and easy to finish the roofing portion of the job it took months for them to replace my siding and I'm still waiting for them to haul off debris like they were paid to do. When we first were looking at hiring them we asked about financing options and were told by Rodney that it would not be an issue, but when it came time to sign the contract we were told we would have to pay 100% of our portion of the job up front without financing it (~$3000). Then it took 2+ months to get the siding part done with Renown representatives claiming they were waitinf on my insurance company when it turned out Renown was taking a week to send the insurance company the things they requested and often in poor quality. They also closed the insurance claim a whole month before even starting the siding job. When the siding guy finally scheduled a work day with us he showed up on time without the siding and told me that it would be a couple of more days before he could do the job because he had to find the siding. Once that portion of the job was finally completed I noticed a small piece of siding missing up at the edge of the roof, exposing wood. We were told it would be taken care of ASAP, later contacted to be told they had the piece and someone would schedule a work day with us, and then later again told that they wouldn't be doing it because they had ledt that portion out of the contract and if I wanted it replaced I would have to pay another $300. Then they blamed my insurance company again saying it was left off because they denied the claim as if I wasn't already paying out of pocket for part of the job. Now I have a regular piece of siding that's come loose in an area they previously worked on without there having been storms bad enough recently to have knocked it loose. One of the worst contractors we've ever worked with and I'm still waiting nearly 5 months later to be done with them so I can hire someone to do what Renown couldn't be bothered with the first time. Once we agreed on the basic cost, realizing that there was potentially additional work that would have to be submitted, we contacted the insurance company and started the process. Mike actually helped talk with the insurance company so they understood the nature and scope of the claim. He, as well as others from Renown, were involved with the insurance adjusters all the way through so it was less hassle for me and when it was done City Codes had been met, the insurance company was on board with the total scope of work and my only "out of pocket" expenses was my deductible and an upgrade in materials that I chose to purchase, which is how these kinds of things are supposed to work. The crew was professional, helpful and pleasant, and dealt with problems as they arose by keeping me informed and, when appropriate, asking my preference. The materials and quality of workmanship were top-notch and we now have a beautiful new roof that should last for many years. I'm a firm believer that you usually get what you pay for and, when it comes to your home investment, "cheap" is seldom the right answer. This new roof likely increased the value of my home. Our salesperson, Kevin Bryant, fully recognizing the headwinds of skepticism and our overabundance of caution, went above and beyond at every measure to ensure that Renown would build the necessary trust that would be required to satisfactorily complete the job. He was always on time for all of the numerous meetings we requested. He always acted with honesty and integrity. He also met every challenge we presented – he ensured that we met our project manager before any work commenced and that he was aware of our high expectations. Pictures and homeowner testimonials were sent on request. Every measure was taken to ensure that we were fully comfortable with the work that was going to be completed before we scheduled an installation date. At the end of the day, the true measure of construction project is how the end product stands up against the promises that sold the job in the first place. We experienced a remarkable installation. I have a heavily landscaped property, and care and attention was taken to not only remove every single shred of the roofing material that was used, but also to ensure that not one decorative shrub was harmed in the process. Following completion, our roof was not only aesthetically pleasing, but when the manufacturer came out to validate our warranty, he commented at the structural integrity of the application of the materials.
