We were so impressed with John and his team! We got our floors refinished and new base molding in our new Grosse Pointe Woods house. This needed to be done before we moved in to the house, and John was able to work within our schedule as we stacked contractors before move in. John was quick to communicate and check in as needed throughout the project.

If you’re located in or near St. Clair shores MI. I highly recommend Benchmark floors. John (the owner) was very communicative and was very helpful. He also picked out the stain color which turned out to be the perfect choice for the floors. Also, was able to replace the shoe molding which turned out great as well. Fantastic experience from start to finish. See the after and before pictures.

It was absolutely fantastic working with John. He responded immediately to my original inquiry and quoted a very fair price to refinish the hardwoods floors in my Mother's home in Shelby Twp. Great communication throughout by calls and texting. John offered great suggestions based on his many years of experience. He and Keith were always on time and used good equipment that did not leave sawdust everywhere. Very good people and very honest. Quality craftsmanship.

Our goal was to refinish our floors and change them from the golden oak color of the 90s to a warmer brown tone. After comparing bids, we chose Benchmark Wood Floors because they fit our budget and timeline, and we appreciated working with a local Shelby Township business. The workmanship and service were excellent. John and Kieth provided daily updates as the work progressed and were always willing to answer our questions. Their professionalism was impressive, and they took great care to protect our homeleaving everything clean and undamaged at the end of each day. The results exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend Benchmark Wood Floors.
